At least Polestar is communicating now, but the news is a bit disturbing. Weird that Polestar only finds out now, mid September, that final certification is pending although initial deliveries were planned for August...
Following email received today:

"We wanted to inform you that while your Polestar 2 is making its way to you from the factory, we are still waiting on a final certification from the Canadian government before we can start deliveries of the Polestar 2 in Canada. As a result of the delay, we expect deliveries of the Polestar 2 to commence in November.
Once your Polestar 2 is ready for delivery, we will contact you directly to schedule your preferred delivery date."

No more mention about any test drive or opening of the 3 Spaces either...

What certification would that be? That it's car? That it's safe? (I'm confused.)

MVSA (Motor Vehicle Safety Act) by Transport Canada (I guess - can't see what else it would be). All cars need on the road need to be certified by TC.

Yup, got the email too. That's fine by me; will give them time to sort out the issues we hear about from European deliveries. Maybe we'll have time to road test the Mach-E too before making a final decision.

More news and all in the same day ? Did Polestar suddenly learn to communicate ? Seems the message on this forum is being heard...

"I would like to personally thank you for choosing Polestar and for being one of the very first clients of Polestar Vancouver, a division of GAIN Group. We can’t wait for your Polestar to arrive, prepare it for delivery and finally, to meet you in person.

We are in the process of forming a strong team of product and technical specialists who will be ready to offer you unparalleled service. We look forward to welcoming you to our Polestar Space, approximately November 1, 2020."

At least we know now approximately when the Vancouver Space is due to open.

I wouldn't be surprised if they've been paying attention and somebody at headquarters is charged with damage control.
