For those buying a new iPhone (perhaps a 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max or Air), please remember to disconnect your Digital Key and sign out of the app before wiping your old phone. This should make it easier to pair your new phone. Yes, there are remediation steps if you forget to do this, but it's just plain easier to disconnect your old phone before you format and replace it ;-).

Interesting... For Android the biometrics only impact the app actions (unlock car, open/close windows). Digital key still works in the background...
