So my usual very British sounding lady on Google seems to be working a split shift with her American counterpart. Every now and then I get an American lady who does not know where I live, tells me I need to up the allow access to my contacts for it to direct me "home".
Never a dull moment in a Polestar.

I set Siri to have an Irish accent. I find it soothing.
Volvo lent me a car last week & that English accent was very old-school BBC.
The Google American is very reedy. Goes right through me. She needs to chill

When there's no 4G internet access, the voice will drop back to a nasal American accent.

Did you know you can go into the voice settings and not only select from various male and female voices, but also change the speed and pitch at which they speak? So you can have a fast-speaking child voice telling you what to do, if you wish. I've changed mine to a posh BBC voice, lowered a bit and speaking a bit faster. All good fun :)
