Same here, and I agree it looked very weird and bad.I had the front badge removed for ppf application.
It is glued on with 0.8mm double sided tape.
It was removed using braid fishing line.
Under the front emblem there are 4 locating holes in the plastic, two round, two oval.
I filled the holes in and put some clear vinyl wrap over them to see what it would look like.
Frankly, too me, it looked like sh!t.
The indentations around the holes were still visible.
PPF went on and badge was replaced.
Holy cr*p, how do I say this in a nice wayJust took the front one off and covered it up. I wanted to let everyone know what team I'm on.
Okay regardless of what anyone else says on this forum, that is awesome.Just took the front one off and covered it up. I wanted to let everyone know what team I'm on.
Are you doing that for a colour change through the PPF material like a satin or matte effect? I mean otherwise there isn't much point in covering the entirety of the car. Thanks for the info - I don't like the stickers on the side either, so I'll remove them.
I'm getting the entire car covered in PPF.
Is that like the ebay version of a Camaro? 😁No cheap s**t here. I payed large for the official badge off the Camero. It's solid steel. 😉
There is a point to me! My last car was black, and I had the PPF on the front end, mirrors etc., and the rest of the car was Ceramic-coated. After a few years of washing and dusting, the unprotected areas had hairline scratches and swirls, and the PPF area was pristine. Are you doing that for a colour change through the PPF material like a satin or matte effect? I'd be looking into your washing techniques or what else happens. Getting hairline scratches and swirls when ceramic coated is not normal. But hey if it works for you then go for it.There is a point to me! My last car was black, and I had the PPF on the front end, mirrors etc., and the rest of the car was Ceramic-coated. By covering all painted surfaces, there will be no hairline scratches or swirls and I don't have to wax, and the cost is the same as 1/2 PPF and the other half Ceramic.
Makes total sense to me.
I like it!Just took the front one off and covered it up. I wanted to let everyone know what team I'm on.
Hi KanedaKid...can I ask how did you remove the badge on the front grill (not the hood badge)? Thanks!Just took the front one off and covered it up. I wanted to let everyone know what team I'm on.
