Hey everyone

Just came across these forums yesterday, and happy to join the community. Ordered my vehicle mid August and was originally due for delivery in January, but has since been updated to Feb. Have gone for the SM LR Space, Charcoal with Pilot and Plus. Hoping to get body corporate permission for a wall charger, have submitted application just playing the waiting game now.

Congrats on the order, and welcome to the community! Good luck with the body corporate. I have only had mine for just 5 days and haven't yet found the need for my own wall charger, but I would also eventually need to own up to the body corporate for using the GPO on the common property wall for my granny charging

But seriously though, what was the process you had to follow? And what are your commitments around the installation and ongoing costs?

I drive in to work once or twice a week and the office carpark has multiple EV spaces with free charging, so I haven't decided if I want to go down the path of installing my own yet. I'm the only EV owner in our apartment block currently, so I'm not sure I want to be the guinea pig for the body corporate.
Cheers for the Welcome. I own a townhouse and as per the strata document i received from the body corporate, as long as the wall charger is installed on my lot (it will be in my garage), the lot has its own metered power, not communal (which it does) and i cover the install and purchase costs everything from my perspective is covered. The only thing the body corporate needs in order to issue approval is to get an expert in to test load capacity and the existing infrastructure to make sure the charger wont cause damage to the other lots. Well that is my understanding of it anyway :p

Daily work commutes the granny charger would cover fine, but would rather just charge once a week or when needed rather than every night.

She's back .... PPF Matte + Ceramic (body & full wheels), Black Vinyl on roof (for that MY22 look) + door mirrors, maximum tint on side windows, centre console protective film, leather protection ... the detailers (Prime Finish: Car Detailing Melbourne | Car Care & Cleaning | Prime Finish) did an absolutely fantastic job ... I particularly like the way that they lined the wheels up when they took the glamour shots :) ..

is there more to the newstead space in brissie than what can be seen on street veiw? looks very underwhelming. Can't decide if i want to test drive or not, not my faviourite part of town and if i love it i would still have 4mths to wait for my own :p

They are building a new one. The current one is a step up from the booth they had at the show grounds, but I think it is just so they have a location to handover. They indicated that the new one would be opening in December.
if they get a new space before my delivery in Feb that would be cool

I agree. The tyres make it look abandoned! I get to see inside tomorrow at pickup!

Drove past this morning after visiting Volvo Brisbane North to apraise my XC60 to sell to them. Had an interesting chat to the guys there - they have agreed to be a Polestar service centre. This is great news. They also mentioned they will have a couple of P*2's there as courtesy cars.
be interesting to hear how it all goes, good luck

received build notification and VIN today :D.

question, the planned delivery date (13th Jan) on the proforma invoice is that when its due to arrive in australia? On my account in the app it still down as Feb for delivery.

I'd say Feb would be optimistic, March realistically, or later, based on my experience. For me, proforma invoice delivery date was Aug 23, my estimated delivery in app was October, and I have yet to receive the handover call to schedule that, so I'll likely have the car sometime in December? Maybe? Hopefully?
Oh wow that would be disappointing. My ICE rego is due in Dec and was hoping a 3mth renewal would be enough, but may have to rethink that. Hope you get the call soon.

Update on this - got the call for handover on Wednesday and picked the car up yesterday. Only minor hiccup is that it will have to go back into the Hobart Volvo dealership to get the tow bar added on, whenever that comes in. I was assured that it should only be a week or two.

The car seems great - no complaints there, I just wish the communication from Polestar had been way, way better during the entire process.
glad to hear you finally got it (y)

Been scoping out the scene here for a little bit. I was wondering if anyone had a rough idea on how long it takes from receiving the "Your Polestar is on its way" email to getting the contract to finalise the order? I received the previous email about two and a bit weeks ago if that is any help. Whilst I am happy to wait, I'm just too keen to get into the car 😅.
we must be in a similar batch as i received that email about a week and half ago, was hoping i would get a follow up email by the end of this week.

Thought I'd also say hello, have been reading the forums for a while. Received the "we're starting to build your car" on the 17th Nov and "Your Polestar is on its way" on the 19th November. No updates since. Delivery still says "February", hopefully it will be a little earlier 🤞
got the Your Polestar is on its way" on the 11th Nov, was hoping to sign the contract this week but doesnt look it unfortuately.

I still haven't signed contract or got the set sail email so I'm pretty confident mine isn't on Paganella. I think Don Juan (departing 11th) or worst case Morning Cherry (departing 22nd). Either would still have me on track for February.

I just got my 'rolled off the construction line' email, but my ETA still says March. Anyone got any up to date clues as to when that might ship?
few of us got that email in November, i believe Max & Nordic got it first week and i got mine on the 11th. We are all still waiting for the Set Sail email. I think we were all Feb deliveries. You will probably get a good idea of timeline once ours are shipped.

My timeline for reference:
Deposit - 18th Aug (Jan Delivery)
Order Confirmation - 3rd Sept
Delivery Change - 6th Sept (Feb Delivery)
Car start build - 9th Nov
VIN Issued - 9th Nov
Car finish build - 11th Nov

Yeah I'm pretty confident they are preparing a batch for an Oz delivery. Don Juan currently next to depart Shanghai on the 12th and Morning Crystal on the 18th, so hopefully one of those.

"Set Sail" and "Finalise Your Order" received yesterday. Jumped on to finalise order and they still have Sydney as handover location, despite assurances it would be changed (to Canberra - I'm NSW but just over the ACT border). Sent a request for handover to be changed to Canberra as per previous correspondence. Received the hurry up email today, handover location still not changed but I confirmed anyway. Worst case is I get to drive it home from Sydney.

On a positive note, delivery changed from February to January.

If the "set sail" arrives a few days after the ship has departed, then Viking Passama departed Shanghai 30/11, so that timeline fits. Due into Port Kembla 22/12.

Cheers
Congrats! Jealous 😜
