Australian Polestar 2 Delivery Date

Has anyone heard much info on expected delivery dates for Australia?

We've had a reservation since 2nd December 2021 but have not received any further news about when the reservation can be converted to an order.

I've seen various websites posting different statements about timing, e.g. New electric vehicles due in Australia in 2022, which states January 2022 (seems unlikely).

This morning I logged in to the polestar site and started a chat to ask about this.

The response was thorough but fairly non-commital, suggested a lead time of 12 weeks from order to delivery, and that orders will be within the first quarter of this year. Also, preconfigured vehicles will be available (suggesting a faster delivery time).

So let's say order Feb for delivery in May or March for delivery in June...

Fingers crossed for a suitable preconfigured option!

I think because the date is on or after halfway through the month (ie, 15+), the app/website 'rounds up' to the next month.
Yep I think so too. I think previously when I spoke to someone on the forums, he did mention that if it falls on 15th or later, they round it over to the next month in the ETA.

Fingers crossed it's end of this month then :p
EDIT: Doesn't apply to fleet orders apparently. booo
They haven't replied yet to my question about eligibility for the rebate. Are you leasing through Polestar or independently?
Are you leasing through Polestar or independently?
im leasing independently. I found out that because my leasing company ordered the car on my behalf, I’m not eligible. If you order it yourself and then put it on a lease afterwards, it’s fine and you’re eligible
Picked up my PS on Monday. Tuesday ger email from Polestar about rebate and another about choosing a gift..eg home charging or cable and free charging. Let them know I have a home charger already and there is only one Evie station in WA miles away from me.

They're putting an extra $1000 on the rebate for me. Total $4000.

That was very nice of them.

Hooked up to Synergy's Home EV plan for 18c kwh overnight on Wednesday.

Thursday McGowan announces $400 credit for electricity for all homes. All that combined with my solar and home battery...the car is effectively free for the first 6 months!

ugh.... despite being told 6 weeks ago it's off the ship and then seeing a CEVA shipping date to Mel then being told 2 weeks ago that it came off the ship the day before and to expect it to be shipped to Melbourne last week, I now am told that it's still on a ship..... still showing March delivery...

Not happy Jan.

I know how it feels - March delivery is turning into June. Car is still on board the Dugong Ace, which has been anchored off Port Kembla for the past two weeks

That's so strange for you guys. Are you guys outside of NSW? I'm in NSW and the boat docked few weeks ago and I'm scheduled in for handover next week!

Mine was on the same ship and has sat at Erskine Park for a week. I'm in Perth, currently estimated for May 31.

I’m Melbourne. LRDM ordered 13 Nov, built 3 January. Currently off PK on the Dugong Ace, which appears to have left China in lat Feb for a delivery run up the west coast of Africa, then Singapore, and Cambodia

Only two more weeks - maybe. It gets transported to Perth - sits for a few days. Then moved to a yard at Bibra Lake - sits for a week or so, then Barbagallo Cannington for a few days, before going to Barbagallo Osborne Park. So frustrating.

I've never been so nervous as I was driving it out of the lot at Barbagallo onto Scarborough Beach Road in the middle of the day!

@Greg Barton Do you have your CEVA transport details yet? Mine has 14 cars on the booking number linked to my VIN tracking. Ours are only a couple of days apart, likely on same ship...

I wonder if they’re waiting for more cars to put together to transport to Perth at once? Who knows.

Hi Polar Dan, CEVA is still showing a booking made 4 April for an ETA into Melbourne of 20 April. Polestar support told me that the car is on board the Dugong Ace, and that the CEVA booking was made in anticipation of an April arrival in PK, and quick docking

It looks like the Dugong Ace was a little slower than expected calling in to Freemantle and Adelaide but then left Adelaide 27 April and arrived off Port Kembla around 1 May. It looks like PK has been very congested of late!
DUGONG ACE - Cargo (IMO: 9777838, MMSI: 353453000) | MyShipTracking

It looks like it is now scheduled to dock early this Saturday
Dugong Ace ETA to dock is 20th into berth 106 at PK but judging by the current vessel that's in berth 106's departure date, it looks like 23rd May instead.

The below website is what I used to track my vessel docking, the berth number is the most important one as you will see the vessel before's dates etc...

Hope this helps.

Thanks isMomo. The logistics logjam delays have been frustrating but there is not much that we can do about it. It will be very good to finally take delivery!
Thanks Greg. We are in the same shipment. Those are exactly my dates.

Thanks Polar Dan, that is good to know! Port Kembla appears to be experiencing significant delays at the moment due to quarantine concerns: Drivers to wear extra car import costs as tighter quarantine slows vehicle flow
