I mean, the car in the video is clearly a BST, or at least a car with the BST stripe, painted body cladding, 21" wheels, etc.

I also watched the video a few times, freezing it at the two points you can see the grill, and it doesn't appear to be the MY24 grill.

So, that begs the question, does it have anything to do with the PS2 at all, or is it a clever way to introduce the PS4? Or does it have to do with the PS2, but is some new feature/function? If the latter, what would that really be? I'm reluctant to believe Polestar would use this as the way to announce the activation of Adaptive High Beams for the north American market. And why use the BST for such an announcement?

Agreed, the lighting does appear to align with the crease in the top of the new grill. Okay, so I'm convinced by you guys that it is a MY24 grill, and some new BST that will come with the grill in black.

Despite all the talk about the BST being a one-off run, its success probably means that Polestar have found their M/AMG division. Little doubt that this is an updated BST, or that we’ll see a similarly tuned version of Polestar 3 and every other new model, too.
As if the PS3 isn't already overpriced enough. I don't want to know what a BST version of that might add on.

Agreed, in the UK at least the Lotus Eletre is £5k more than a performance P3 and has another 130bhp and in my view seems a lot more special.

I can see a decent spec electric Macan being P3 money as well...
Yeah, I'm curious how pricing for the Eletre is going to pan out here in the US. If it's that close to the Polestar 3, then I may go for it, simply to have some lively coloring. I mean, hello!!!

From what I hear, only a very limited number of these additional BSTs will be made available. It's disappointing that they are releasing more BSTs since that slightly diminishes the value of each until, but fingers crossed that this new green version does have a limited allocation. I got the Battleship Grey wrap with stripe on my BST, but this green version would have been my preference if originally available.
Ah....so Nebula is Volvo's Sage Green. In that case, we've seen this car before at some press events and at the HQ.

Prob a special colour similar to Volvo's Sage Green
Yeah, it appears Nebula is Volvo's Sage Green. No real surprise there, since it's built on the same production line as the C40 and XC40, and Sage Green seems reasonably popular for those two. So it's not a huge lift for Polestar to make a run in that color, or introduce it as a new color across the lineup. They've also had this car kicking around for a little while. It's been seen at the HQ a number of months ago, and was at one of the BST track events in Spain during the summer.

I wouldn't rule it out as making its way into the main lineup. It's not a heavy lift for Polestar to add that color, given that it's already available on C40s and XC40s. So it would really just be the addition of what, making more door handles molded in that color? :p

That said I'd much rather see Fusion Red (let's call that "Starburst") and Fjord Blue (let's call that "Atmosphere") make their way into the lineup.

Actually, the more I think of it, I think I'd really like a BST style (lowered, painted body cladding) car in Fjord Blue, with the Zinc leather interior, with the gold seatbelts. That, or since they seem ready and willing to raid the Volvo parts bin for seating material, swap the zinc leather for the grey wool interior.

This feels like such a hard sell. It's roughly $81k in the US, where a fully loaded, all packs, and even the leather, gets you to $71k. So it's $10k for paint and a marginally improved suspension....when the MY24 with actual improved performance is looming?

You gotta REALLY want that sage green and/or the partial nubuck interior.

I just don't get why they didn't tie this in with the release of the MY24 cars, and make it based off of that, rather than MY23.

I'd guess it's because they are using it for a little news/media push in an otherwise dead zone between model years/model lineup, while clearing out some of their 2023 vehicles and components before the significant changes come through. But if that is the case, they'd be better making these a better value. Like, make it a couple grand more than the top trim or something.
Perhaps, but in some markets, they can already order the MY24 cars, so they'd consciously be choosing a higher priced, lower performing, vehicle simply for the color if they went with Nebula/Sage Green.

For the NA market, these cars would be getting delivered alongside the newly arrived MY24 Performance cars, which will be a bit of a slap to the face, seeing your $81k car next to a TBD cheaper car.

Plus, over on the various Polestar related Facebook groups it's pretty clear that people are confused that it's not actually a MY24 car. So I suspect some people may jump to order not realizing that the car is actually a MY23, with no changes to the battery and motors.

So I am a little confused. Polestar is being very vague. How do you know that this is a 23 and not a 24? It looks like a 24, it has more power than a PP 24, it is being delivered around the time 24s are coming out, how are you supposed to know?
They've stated as much, and the specs have already been posted further up in this thread. It's the same performance as the current MY23 w/ Performance Pack (or any MY21-23 w/ the Performance Software), which is 350kW (467hp, 502lb.ft. of torque).
