Guessing its a BST type special edition but with new motors and battery. Man I am GLAD I passed on the OG BST now. It would have been 2 weeks old at this point before they teased a new one LOL
Especially if it was a quad powered version 🤣 (no I don’t think it will be but one can always dream,
id swap my mrs for a p2 quad motor)

Oh? It wasn’t communicated so I have no idea if it’s possible in Canada.

Porsche and Lamborghini are making new limited editions all the time, with little or no difference.
Why should anybody feel bad?!
Polestar will make lots of different versions of there cars!
Buy the ones you like and can afford!

I am hoping for a RWD BST myself!
Please!

Based off Thomas Ingenlath's IG post today, looks like it will be a Polestar "black" edition. Maybe that is what they'll do for special editions moving forward, like Volvo. So BST will still be its special thing, but the the black edition can be applied to any vehicle in the lineup.

Porsche and Ferrari and Lambo absolutely do not release new versions of their limited editions just as the current models get delivered. There are at least a couple years between them. The closest one I can think of was the 2016 911R which was limited (but numbered) and 2018 GT3 Touring, but that was still 2 years between releases.
Not against special versions of the car, the more fun cars the better. But this timing and releasing the Facelift just before BST owners got their car must have been the most poorly timed model releases from any manufacturer ever.

Anyways I am no longer a stakeholder as I canceled my BST after the facelift was revealed. But if Polestar wants to build a brand following they should do better than this.

Poor timing, indeed. They will announce a handful of even more special edition BSTs will be manufactured due to the "overwhelming positive response the BST has received." Come on, it's not that difficult to move 270 units globally of most any car, so this will be a bit of a marketing move to keep the good media machine moving. It's very unfortunate for the owner values of the original 270, as those cars will be slightly less exclusive and therefore slightly less valuable. I'm very curious to see what the announcement is, in any case.

Might be a little bit tight yes! I agree!
But we will see what it is.

500bhp+ is certainly possible with the platform

The RWD model is 300bhp and the old FWD motor was capable of about 240bhp so one would assume 550bhp at a push?

It's going to depend on the battery and all the cabling. Because of voltage drop it's not just a matter of adding the numbers together.

I appreciate that, however the battery has been updated and it can charge at higher speeds as well.

I was surprised after all the updates the peak power of the performance model remained identical but we shall see...

It would be good to get a 0-60 in the 3 second range officially. As it is the new performance pack is 4.0 vs 4.2 for the 270 special edition so its already not the quickest in a straight line at least!

Despite all the talk about the BST being a one-off run, its success probably means that Polestar have found their M/AMG division. Little doubt that this is an updated BST, or that we’ll see a similarly tuned version of Polestar 3 and every other new model, too.

As if the PS3 isn't already overpriced enough. I don't want to know what a BST version of that might add on.

Yeah not to derail the thread, but I just built a P*3 again today and I just can't justify that price. It doesn't particularly shine in any category that sets it apart enough to justify the price tag imo.
Agreed, in the UK at least the Lotus Eletre is £5k more than a performance P3 and has another 130bhp and in my view seems a lot more special.

I can see a decent spec electric Macan being P3 money as well...
