Can I improve the loud and bouncy ride of my 2022 Polestar 2?

There are many things I love about my 2022 Polestar 2 AWD, but it is way too bouncy on bumps at non-highway speeds, and way too loud from tire and maybe some wind noise on the highway. I have the original 19" rims and tires.

Will different tires drastically improve these things? If so, which ones?

Is there something else I can do?

We switched from the stock Michelin Primacy4 to the OEM Conti ProContact RX all season tires for our 19" wheels and find they're smoother/less bumpy and quieter.

Lower the tire pressure by 0.2 bar if you are on 19". Feels like a different car.
The tires can handle it, although your consumption could rise slightly.

.2 bar is 2.9 PSI for those of us using the freedom measurements.

even 0,1 changed our car from not good over small bumps to ok!

grand touring tires will make a noticible difference. the summer primacy 19’s are stickier, firmer, and louder than my winter set which are GTs. As soon as I wear the summers out I’ll be switching to all season GTs.

Check your tire pressures. When I got my car from the dealer, they were over inflated by about 6psi.

Thank you! That made it much less bouncy. Still too loud, but my kidneys thank you. I'll have to try some tires with foam insert next.

I did actually try that, but they did not take it all away and they blocked too much of the music.

Don't put to much hope in foam inserts. I've changed to tires without foam and here no difference from the previous which had.

EV's are heavy and the weight produces road/tire noise.

I still think a specific replacement rubber could go a long way towards OP's complaints, even with the weight and lack of sidewall of a 19" wheeled P2.

We went to the OEM all seasons option because we do occasionally go on 2-4d trips to colder destinations and that's not enough to switch to winters for us for those few days, but is enough I didn't want to be on summers going up and down mountains that were just snowed on.

But a side benefit was the ride comfort and noise was noticeably improved. And efficiency wasn't much affected. Unless OP is regularly taking the car to its limits on grip they might want to consider switching tires. Or, use the summers for track days and a more comfort-oriented tires for the daily drive.

Given the metric system came out of the French Revolution where the peasants threw off the shackles of the old Imperialistic Royalty/Barons/Lords etc....by using the Imperial system you are not using the 'Freedom' measurements but rather the slave/serf/indentured measurements. eg not free. Hence the name 'Imperial'.

I have a 2021 P2. The adjustable shock absorbers were set at a setting of 8 by the factory. They were nuts to do that. I reset them to a level of 19, which made a huge difference. The front ones were easy - the control wheel is at the bottom of the shock, so you can easily change it by getting under the car. The rear control wheels are at the top of the shock -What were they thinking? I needed the help of my friendly mechanic to remove the rear wheel wells and adjust them. Also, changing to Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate tires made a big improvement. The car rides great and I no longer get complaints from the wife.

I got our P2 for my wife after 8 years with a Mini Countryman, I have a 21 Jaguar FPace. Maybe it's coming off those cars that are inherently noisy due to ICE and dynamics, but our P2 is one of the quietest rides I have had and thoroughly enjoyable. A bit of wind noise above 85MPH would be only complaint in that department. Tire noise, some, but you get that in every vehicle, in ICE cars you don't notice because of all the other noises (unless you are running snow tires or very agressive tires). Ride stiff, yes, low center of gravity and aggressive setup on the shocks will do that, tires that are made to take the additional vehicle weight also impact, but I won't dial it back, the handling is excellent and where we live, aside from interstate highways, rough roads are a way of life. A limmo or a cushy Cadillac ride it is not, but that's not what I/we wanted. Good luck with your P2, it will grow on you with each ride!
Does anyone know if the car must be returned off lease with the same "eco" kind of tire or if they would accept a regular tire (non eco) - even a much grippier one ? I have not leased in a while.. (honestly I don't hate the michelins at all but it's true the car requires high pressures - due to its weight I suppose)
