Bummer, sounds like you had one of the relatively rare silent fails. Might be worth calling/emailing/chatting support. I think there's a way they can check to see if a car's update actually failed if I remember right.

As usual patience is the solution. I did not touch a thing (I’m still successfully logged into my polestar account (I checked under the account list), just tried again to activate connected safety and now it suddenly allows me…. Will never know what happened in the background.

Yes i have the exact same issue.

I have the same issue also. After updating from 2.4 to 2.7, I wanted to turn on the now available 'Connected Safety' feature but it is telling me I have to log into my Polestar Account, but it is not telling me how to do that. I know I logged in when I first set the car up and surely it must still be logged in because my Polestar App is connected to the car. This has got to be a bug in the upgrade. I will check again in a few days time just in case the issue is on the back end servers.

I too had the same issue but I when and relogged into my account then I could set it. I was logged i before so somehow I got logged out?

It's the circle icon top right of the screen (not in the settings where you'd expect it). It will show you a list of accounts you're signed in as, then an option to "add account" and Polestar Account should be in there.

Interestingly mine refused to allow me to log in to my Polestar Account when I was connected to WiFi in my garage (no 4G down there) but when I drove out of the garage and got 4G it did let me log back in, and enable the connect safety. Weird

I can’t figure out when the car is actually using WiFi because the download speeds always seem ridiculous slow when it is available and I know the signal is strong.

I guess i must have been logged off my P account after all. Logged back in and no issue to get back on connected safety.

Thanks - manually adding back in my Polestar account fixed the issue - all very strange.

It’s been a known problem that your car infotainment polestar account logs out in OTA updates. I’ve seen probably in each of the updates so far so that’s first I check after an update.

If you are on V2.7 then maybe its not supported in your country/market/region? This from the manual:

• Connected Safety is not developed on all markets and does not cover all areas. Polestar Customer Support has information on covered areas.

I know it's available here in the US as I have now activated it.

OP is from Canada so I would assume it is supported nationwide. I guess it is not available in BC Canada then

Nope, option is still not there.

Did you go and relogin to your polestar account? Or are you saying the option does not exist at all?

Yup. Followed the steps to "Add Account" and login with my Polestar credentials. Hitting "Sync Now" after doing that and nothing seems to happen. I guess I'll just wait.

Same here. in the Netherlands were Connected Safety is available. Upgraded to 2.7, added my polestar account but the option for Connected Safety is completly missing just like the earlier picture.
