Change in Parking View?

I have noticed that when pulling forward into a parking space, the parking view is no longer certain to appear on the main screen. Or if it does, it pretty quickly (~ 10 sec if I'm generous) goes away.

This has been true for me since the last OTA (to 1.3.18), or at some point since that landed. Previously, parking view when pulling forward into a space would consistently start and then stay on.

To me this is a really minor issue, since you can always tap the camera icon to get this to work. And I absolutely do not have an interest in reverting to an earlier SW install.

But I am curious if others have experienced this change as well.

For me, it’s completely dependent on how close objects are. If the space is wide then you might not get anything until you get close to a front wall. If it’s narrow, you might get some side warnings as you pass through an opening, then they might stop (camera goes away) until you get close to something in front. I haven’t noticed any material change in behaviour since I got the car last Dec.

Same with the 2… sometimes the 360 pops up faster than others despite me always pulling into my garage past the same shrubbery

I find that the zoom of the forward view is wildly inconsistent and disorienting. When the car thinks I'm getting close to something, it rapidly zooms the forward view then changes its mind and zooms back out again, then zooms in, etc. Nauseating.
