This post starts with a short story.

I quite often visit family who on a farm in a quite rural area. They’re wonderful people and quite good cooks, but the out buildings on their property are on the older side so while some are wired for 240v service, they all have the old “welder plug” style NEMA 10-50 outlets.

My question… Will the EVSA supplied with the Polestar 2 work with a 10-50P to 14-50R adapter, or will it recognize that it isn’t grounded and politely refuse to function?

Well, technically the 10-50 is grounded, it's just that the neutral and ground are tied together. I think an adapter should work as long as it uses the ground as a ground and just leaves the neutral alone - if you're L2 charging then the neutral shouldn't matter, but I don't know for sure. At least that's how I think it works, one of the smarter sparkys here can probably give us better info.
