Man charged after horror head-on collision claims two lives

how did a REAR passenger die when both front passengers had "minor injuries"?
no seatbelt i can imagine...
anyway, the safety cell seems to have reacted very well.

Yeah it’s a P2 for sure. Looks like it really handled the situation quite well (Toyota’s front left looks like just disappeared).

People are less stringent about putting their seat belts on in the back so it’s not hard to imagine the back passenger smashing the front seat at such high speed and getting a fatal neck/spine injury in an instant 😔

 

Having a devil of a time getting access to this crash module. I'm working my way through the shifter, but it's getting quite hairy. Is there an easier way to gain access inside the center console?

 

Nevermind. Easy peazy. There are two larger bolts behind the round panels (they just pop out, pull from the top), and two larger bolts at the back behind smaller panels that also just pop out. With the 4 bolts removed the center console just lifts up enough to access the crash module.
