Hi all, I'm considering jumping out of my ID.3 Max order into a Polestar 2. Current lead time on the website is May, so roughly three and a half months

What are people's experience of the accuracy of their published lead times?
Depends on what you want…mine was 3 months car arrived in 3 weeks. Others have had the reverse.

Anything up to 4 months from now would be fine, I guess what I need to know is whether 3 months can easily turn into far longer, or are they usually quite accurate? My VW has gone from 6 months to over a year!

If you can find a preconfigured model that meets your needs it will arrive quicker. If it has to be custom built in China it’s hit and miss due to shipping delays etc.

I placed an order on Monday and website showed May. Yesterday order detail changed to June.

I’m jumping out of the Id.3 Tour I bought in September and going into a SMLR with plus and pilot. Just hoping the value of the Id.3 doesn’t drop too much before P* arrives.

I sold my ID.3 1st Edition last week and I'm waiting for my SMSR in void with the Pilot Pack. Ordered mid-Jan and Polestar still say it's due in March, but I'll believe that when I see it. I'll be happy with April.
The pre-configured cars move quickly - I've not managed to find an exact match for what I want yet. A couple have been close, but I don't want the beige interior  or to pay for a tow-bar I don't need.

Are you able to jump from a factory order to a pre-configured car?

I read on here that for cars ordered via Polestar Lease, the 14 day cancellation period doesn't start until you digitally sign the documents (which I haven't been asked to do yet). The person that posted was able to cancel their lease order with no penalty and move to a new Polestar Choices order.

I’ve got single motor long range (pilot and plus) on order since the very end of Dec 2021. It was built a couple of days after I placed the order, and shipped on 27th Jan. I’m tracking the ship and can see it’s about to go through the Suez Canal in the next few days. Delivery into the UK is expected mid-March, with delivery to me planned for early April. So pretty much 3 months to the letter from build to delivery, assuming all goes to plan!

How have you gotten the ship date and vessel information? Through CS? Sounds like mine could be on the same boat.
not impatient at all me:censored:

CS told me it had shipped on 27th Jan – they didn’t tell me which ship, though. But the only Wallenius Wilhelmsen ship to leave Shanghai that day was Nabucco, so I’m making the assumption it’s on that one! Also, the delivery date into the UK is about right for when the ship is expected to arrive in Zeebrugge (24th Feb). Still plenty of speculation in all that, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
