Hi all,
I'm considering jumping out of my ID.3 Max order into a Polestar 2. The current lead time on the website is May, so roughly three and a half months

What is people's experience of the accuracy of their published lead times?

Hello.

I recently ordered my Polestar 2 through Lex Autolease (company car scheme) but also received a confirmation email to my personal address with a Polestar order number.

Is there anyway for me to use this number to track the order and/or register an account somewhere?

Thanks
They will be in touch shortly with a link to create a Polestar ID. You can then use that to track progress in the app (or on the website).
Mine is ordered through a work scheme (Tusker) and that is what happened for me. (Due in October)

Thank you, really helpful, I'll await a further email.

Lex are currently advising September for my order.
I received an email from Polestar today saying that they've started building my PS2 and that it will take about one day and I can track progress if I login.

When I login the estimated delivery is still September although I've now got a VIN assigned to the vehicle.

So, built in May but delivered about 4 month later in September. Does this sound about right?
Mine updated today on the website. It was stating November but with the JSON saying 9th October. Now the page says October and the JSON says 7th September.
I'm assuming the website estimate automatically adds 3-4 weeks to allow for delays and handover time plus a little bit of "under-promise, over-deliver" to keep people happy.

Not sure how accurate this is but when I went through ordering process for my MY23 I was told

Web portal - reflects time to arrive in country
App - delivery/handover time to me

However I’m hearing there seems to be delays around European shipping ports etc hence PDI is taking longer.. for me I only got a handover date once car was in country and the logistics company had locked it in to take car to handover location.

Also FYI - for me the estimatedDeliveryDate really wasn’t that accurate in respect handover to me, in fact actual handover was just over a month later.

Although some on this forum have said this date could reflect arrival into the destination country. For me this date came and went with CS still saying not arrived in country, although there could be a lag in their system despite being told they get scanned when being taken off the boat.

HTH.
Hmm, sounds like I'll only really know when it's ready to be delivered when they ask me for payment! :)

But what is this JSON that many posters are referring to?

Check out this post. You can dig into the web portal and find some dates that don't show on the page itself: Get more info about your order

Interesting, but a lot of faffing about. Think I'll just wait for their email updates. I don't think delving into the JSON data will speed up delivery and I'm not particularly fussed about knowing the delivery date a few weeks early. It'll be what it will be.

Ok. It's actually quite simple after you've done it once and follow the process (takes less than a minute) but each to their own. True, it certainly doesn't speed up delivery!
Ordered DMLR with pilot and plus packs in December initially showed a June delivery, this slipped twice to August. Now have a VIN and a registration with a July delivery, JSON showing the end of June. Only two issues no towbar showing in extras shop and the delivery address is NHS Fleet Solutions. Hopefully sorting the latter, the former can be sorted by the Volvo dealer just a few miles away. This wait is killing me 🤣

Hey @Jacippit. Is yours in the country yet? My order date was also December and, like yours, delivery moved from June to July, then August, then back to July with JSON showing end June. Mine is currently on the Serenity Ace, which is now in the Med en route to Athens. Not expected into Bristol until 15th June. Not sure when I can expect to get my reg number? Getting seriously impatient now! 😂
