Digital Key with iPhone 17 Pro

Hey All,

Trying to move my Digital Key from my iPhone 16 Pro to the new iPhone 17 Pro. I can create the digital key but whenever I approach the car now nothing happens as if it doesn't recognise the key.

Keen to see if anyone else has this issue as people upgrade?

I will have the same pain at some point today. I'll post back with my findings!

If there is a way of Polestar making something that should be very simple incredibly difficult, you can be sure they will have achieved this goal.

I think they have a specialist team dedicated to making our lives miserable.

That wasn't my experience at all. With both old and new phone setup with the Polestar app and ready to go, I deleted my car key from the Wallet on the old phone. Then I received an email from polestar suggesting to add a car key with my new phone. I entered the car with my Keycard. While sitting in the car, I chose my profile, and clicked on the Wallet link in the email from my new Phone. The Wallet app asked me if I wanted to set up a new PAK for the car, and that was it. There were some notifications in the car saying a new PAK had been successfully added. I was really impressed how easily this worked.

I also used the card to open the car, deleted my old digital key then used the card to start the process to set it up on my 17 pro.
After that, it was straight forward. Only quirky thing I remembered from last time was to then take the card away from the car and add the digital key again to the profile which then shows up looking like a fob. After that, car has been faultless unlocking and selecting my correct profile.
