Both are DM version with PP. Gymkhana Test

1. PS4 is as agile as PS2, like a fat boy that can dance ballet
2. PS4 is more comfort than PS2 even with the hardest suspension
3. PS4 has very high grip at corners
4.PS4 is much more spacious, though the headroom is not that much either.

5. Strait acceleration is smooth, but hard to control acceleration after leaving corners for PS4, even a gentle touch results in a harsh push. Miss the smooth output of PS2 very much.
6. It feels strange to drive a very agile car that are very wide (PS4 ~2m wide).
7. The suspension of PS 4 filters too much road information, miss PS2 that talks to the driver's body when driving

Else:
A lot of simple functions (like adjusting mirrors) are completely or half integrated into the screen, pretty bad. Some functions can be directly called, good.

Final words:
PS2 drives more fun than PS4, PS4 is more comfortable and modernized than PS2

Thanks for the input. I wonder what the price diffrence is between 2 and 4 will be. Probably 10-20K USD more than the P2.

Polestar is trying to save its sale in China, PS4 in China starts a little more than 30000 euros with all discounts. DM with nappa and pp is around 50000 euro. Basically cheaper than a PS2.

Hope its price is similar to a model y after importing to Europe, as Polestar also takes advantage of the low manufactering cost in China.

I wonder if the reuse the P2 number/name and do a new version of it.

The P2 is the perfect size for me. And I really don't need a bigger car.
I also prefer P2. The only significant problem of P2 for me is the interior space. In future models, P2 should shrink its battery size and capacity as the advance of battery technology and increased efficiency. Then we should have a larger stroage room, better head space and a flat rear floor.

And this is compared to a PS2 with Performance Pack as well?

If so, that's sort of disappointing. I very much like the ride quality of our PS2 with Performance Pack, and Ohlins set between 6 and 8. I was hoping that the PS4 would have near identical suspension feedback when put into it's firmest setting.

Yes, compared with ohlins set 12/12, It is definitely more comfortable. You don't need to worry the firmness, the suspension of PS4 is still very firm.

In fact, the comfortness comes from the fast response of the CDC suspension and the wide body. When it comes to a single side bump, no ohlins setting of PS2 can compete PS4.

I like the looks of the P4, so when released in 2024/2025, I will give it serious consideration....but I need to first test drive. I have to see if the lack of a rear mirror will bother me, or not. Also, need to see what the final price will be the way I configure?

How about the width does it feel like a wide car?

I have a slight concern with UK roads but at the same time it's only about three centimeters wider than out car so I'm probably worrying about nothing...right? 🤪
