I'm pretty good at utterly ignoring the speed limit symbol popping up on the driver's display. But I would say that in the UK, it's 95% accurate.

However, I was reminded on my trip to France that there are different speed limits for the same road - dependent on certain scenarios; Rain, Towing and Vehicle Weight may result in lower speed limits then for standard cars in dry conditions.

The signage used to limit speed for certain scenarios is identical to the signage used for the general limit. They just tag on a little image or text underneath the main speed display.

For the European drivers out there, do you find your vehicle is identifying these exceptional circumstance speed limit signs incorrectly, and slowing you down to rainy day speeds, or trailer towing speeds?
