My noise is more prominent than I heard on your video and they told me mine was normal.
The tech was able to reproduce the noise and they said it was much louder then when they heard it with me. It can be very loud or very quiet but they said applying more pressure makes it much louder and it's not normal. It wasn't there when I bought it last year. It's def an issue with Regen which polestar has stated already. It's their when applying the brakes in Regen and disappears when releasing brake.

Mine wasn't there when I bought it either 2 years ago. But the same dealer and service department gave me a completely different answer.

mines been there since mid November. I would just wait if I were you and see what they do with mine I'll keep you updated. Patrick has already told me they are probably going to reach out to polestar if the axel doesn't solve the issue.
Oh, I've had the noise for a couple of months. I only brought it to their attention when my car needed it's 24 month service. Unless my car bricks, I hate going to dealers or service centers for any reason. They frequently do more damage than good.

just got off the phone with the dealer. It's been confirmed the rear motor is the issue. Will discuss with them further what needs to happen no sense in replacing the motor if a new one is likely to start up again. Will wait for a fix or a recall more then likely.

Thank you for the update. Do you you have any documentation or a reference confirming that it is the motor? I'm still discussing with the dealer and they still do as if I'm the first to report.

If it is the motor I expect Polestar to be very reluctant to fix.

We were able to make the noise go away by getting UpTo speed putting it in neutral and applying the brakes. Once we went back in drive and braked then noise was back under normal operation. This confirms that under Regen operation the problem occurs and thus the motor.

Thank you for the clarification. So not a diagnosis supported by Polestar yet?

Also, under regen, the braking torque goes through the driveshafts, using the mechanical brakes it does not. So it could still be the drive shafts under 'negative' torque.

Didn't someone report the noise to be gone after replacement on the driveshafts?

They replaced my right rear draft shaft which seemed to be the culprit for most but the sound was still there.

The dealer just called me just now and they said that they're going to move with replacing the rear motor under warranty we're going to see if that fixes the problem
I hear the clicking noise every day when starting out. Not so much later in the day. I have regen braking on. Please update here if you actually receive a replacement motor or other service that actally solves the problem.

I'll let you know they said the replacement motor should be here either Tuesday or Wednesday. They said it should be like a 4-Hour process

Keep us posted. When they say motor, I assume (never assume) they refer to the whole motor module including the differential. I still think this is the familiar noise of a damaged gear set. As opposed to an ICE car, the differential is torqued both directions because of the regen. The technician here wanted to sample the differential oil. I think that would be a good call.

I will the tech said erad replacement which is the electronic rear axel drive which is the entire motor.

Very interested. Once someone has a documented resolution I’ll reapproach the Marin team for a resolution (tried once and got a “can’t reproduce” — I hear the noise on pretty much every drive). It’d be good to know what dealer(s) folks are going through who are getting replacements, so that other techs can contact them for details if necessary. It does sound like Polestar would be putting out, at minimum, a service bulletin about this.
