I seem to recall some people mentioning that that regulator no longer exists in MY23 and is now a setting in the infotainment system. There should be a thumbwheel to the right behind the steering wheel, lower dashboard right side.

Looks like they removed the thumbwheel from the 2023 model year cars. Have you looked under the footwell area to see if there lights are there. I'm wondering if they have removed the lights from the 2023 model year cars?
Just had a look, they're definitely there. I can't see any others despite what the standard spec says on the website though.Looks like they removed the thumbwheel from the 2023 model year cars. Hi, do you have the Plus pack?I'm on 2.3 and my footwell lights are working just fine...
Aha. I've got the Launch EditionHi, do you have the Plus pack?
Cars without the Plus pack seems to have the issue.
No 2.4 didn't fix the footwell lights yet. But at least enjoying the rear light animation that you normally only get with the Pilot PackAny non-plus car owners with the 2.4 workshop only update, has this version fixed the footwell lights?
I've read a post in the 2.4 discussion where a forum member posted details of the Volvo C40 Recharge 2.4 update, it mentions minor improvements to interior lighting. I'm not sure if the Volvo C40 were ever impacted with footwell lights issues from 2.1 OTA like the polestar.

P2.4
2.4 installed yesterday. All well, no differences noticed. It’s a dealer install rather than OTA. 2.4 installed yesterday. All well, no differences noticed. First charge stopped at the set limit (the limit was not changed from the previous charge, though). AAOS security patches still out-of-date.www.polestar-forum.com
Thanks for confirming the footwell lights aren't fixed with 2.4.No 2.4 didn't fix the footwell lights yet. But at least enjoying the rear light animation that you normally only get with the Pilot Pack![]()
Pleasure and thx mate! Thanks for confirming the footwell lights aren't fixed with 2.4.
Enjoy the rear light animations 😊
I guess we now wait for 2.5 to see if this version gets the foot well lights to switch back on....My footwell lights are still dark as well. Shop installed 2.4 a week ago.
So what is it with the now free rear light animations? That was a major decision point for me to buy the pilot pack![]()
Everything you have missing, the centre console surround lighting, the door bin lighting and the dash strip lighting are standard features. You didn’t need a pack to get them. However, without the pack they should be mid-level lighting. You should have under door puddle lights too. Check the standard features list unter interior lighting. This is the quote,I have the MY22 no Plus pack, I do have the Pilot pack.
Cars without the plus pack doesn't have the central console lights nor door bin lights.
But your car should have the front foot well lights. These stopped working since OTA software version 2.1.
This is a photo of my car interior a couple of months after it was delivered in October 2021. There's no ambient lights in the dash, center console (gear selector) or in the phone charging pad area. But you can see the footwell lights working.

Before I purchased the car, I visited the space at Milton Keynes. I enquired about the difference in base Vs Plus pack.Everything you have missing, the centre console surround lighting, the door bin lighting and the dash strip lighting are standard features. You didn’t need a pack to get them. However, without the pack they should be mid-level lighting. You should have under door puddle lights too. Check the standard features list unter interior lighting. This is the quote,
“As well as front and rear general lighting and reading lamps, lights are integrated into the handles. When the front door is opened, the area underneath is illuminated, as well as the floor by the front seats. The distinctive area housing the equally distinctive gear-shifter is illuminated at all times.”
Brilliant!I can confirm that 2.7 will finally bring salvation for the sufferers of the valley of darkness (a.k.a. dark foot wells). Had my non-pack P2 in for windshield replacement today and they updated me from 2.4 to 2.7 at Polestar Washington...and voila "there shall be (foot well) light"! OTA 2.7 should roll out any day now in the U.S. and hopefully other countries. The dark days are over!![]()
Anyone had their OTA 2.7 update today? Still waiting for mine. UK based.Brilliant!
In the 2.7 discussion it should be available via OTA this Thursday onwards, so looking forward to getting this feature back! Missed it for almost a year!
Indeed just in time for the summer 🌞!
