Has anyone bought a second key fob?

My wife and I both have Android phones. Both phones work perfectly and are not yet ready to be replaced. Neither has ultra wideband and it will therefore not be possible to use them as keys.
Has anyone been in a similar situation and decided to purchase a second key fob? How much did it cost, did you have to have it set up at a service centre and does having both fobs in the car at the same time cause any issues?

Thanks!

That's not going to help... would have to be an iPhone right now to solve the original poster's problem!

That said, the same logic applies in a sense - I bet you could buy a used iPhone with UWB support for less than a key and coding is going to cost! I think £300 is optimistic for an additional key.

Thanks! For some reason I thought it might work with P4.2.6 as the pairing went a step further than with P4.2.4, but indeed, since no one else has posted any experience with an Android phone I guess they're not there yet. But Polestar is so vague about it all! Anyway, looking at the cost of a new high-end phone and the hassle of transferring my data to it outweighs the cost of a new key fob. I just hope it works with two fobs in the car at the same time!
