I just use Octopus GO... 00.30 to 05.30 at 8. 5p/ kwh and the rest of the day at currently 24.39p/kwh.
Daily standing charge :-
47.85.

Gas... Flexible Octopus at 5.4p/kwh with standing charge of 28.95p/day.

I charge about 8-12 hrs per week on average.

As far as I understand it intelligent Octopus varies the cheap rate for different times during the day.. But as GO suits my needs perfectly ive been on this plan for the past 2yrs and about to start my 3rd.

95%of my charging is at home.. which for me makes fueling my car "cheap as chips" as 5hrs at night gives me 35kwh..for £2.97 for around 100mls of motoring.

Even at the day rate of 24.39p/kwh it's reasonable at £8.50 for 35kwh in the scheme of things... compared to the 68p/kwh i pay for Ionity charging on the road via Electroverse.

I've also found Octopus a great company to deal with.. Customer Service is first class (unlike Polestar) and the App and billing service 2nd to none.

Just give them a ring and they will tell you better than i can.. the pros and cons of both their car charging plans so you can make a more informed decision.

Ok Googled apparently the 4 is not compatible with Octopus and our Podpoint which is annoying, so I would have to use the Go tariff which is 8p an hour from 00.30am to 05.30am opposed to 7.5p from 23:30 to 05:30.

Joys of getting an early EV charger 😅
So you get an extra hour every night with a possible cheap rate at random times during the day.. If your car happens to be connected to the charger...which my wouldn't be...
Hmmm! Can't see too much to get excited about there... But i suppose saving.. in my case 1.5p/kwh on a 6hrs night charge 63p might make me sleep better on an average charge rate of 8-12hrs per week.. dreaming of what I could do with such a saving.
I might even be able to afford a Polestar 4...:rolleyes:.
