Is my Driver Attention Warning even working!?

When I first got the car I would turn off the coffee cup/attention warning as I didnt want it pinging me all the time. Then once I forgot to do so and then again and now I dont bother. Not once has it given me any warning even when I (as safely as possible) try and encourage it to warn me - nothing. I'm perfectly happy if it doesnt work as I can save a shortcut but when should it warn me? What are the parameters? Does anyone know? So many people moan about it but for me its not been an issue once..

Mine doesn’t appreciate my yawning in the morning and insists I should stop and have another cup of coffee instead of going to work.

It also reminds me to keep my eyes on the road whenever I glance away to adjust the temperature, change the radio station, or look for a charging point along the route. For a car with no physical buttons, that feels like asking a bit too much, IMHO.

OK, mine must not be working then unless I have accidentally found a work around. I left it on and looked away several times, for up to 5 seconds (pilot mode, empty road!), glanced left and right, looked down, closed my eyes, put sunglasses on, covered the sensor with my hand, swerved across lanes. Nothing. Happy days

As a P2 owner, I probably shouldn't be trespassing here, but these are very good questions that I've often wondered about the same function in my car because it seems to be fairly random. Sometimes, it has reminded me to stop for break after an hour or two, which is fine, but then it has made the same suggestion very soon after restarting my journey.

It doesn't really bother me, but it might be more helpful if I knew what triggers the warnings.
