My first post here on the forum, where I have been learning a lot over the past months while waiting for my car. Thank you all for sharing your experiences. My car is a SRSM in Magnesium, pilot lite and plus pacs and with the slate interior. For me i think the slate interior and the beautiful Magnesium is a very good match. Also I’m not that fond of very dark interiors.

The wheels are 20” winter wheels from a 2020 Volvo V90CC that I bought used (almost brand new). At Polestar they were kind to fit them on the car before it was delivered to me, so I drove away on the winter wheels and with the original 19” wheels in the car. I think they look very nice on the car.

30% XPEL Prime XR ceramic all around…not too light, not too dark, perfect.
Oh THANKS! This is perfect, precisely what I wanted to see. My car goes in Friday for tint and I was lookin to do 30% all around too. (Well, sides/rear; no windshield tint). So this really helps concrete those plans; looks GREAT!

We took delivery of our 2023 Polestar 2 Magnesium, Plus Package this week. We were expecting the Magnesium paint to reflect the "configuration" image at right for Magnesium, as that is the image used to select the colour and make the online order. What was delivered is bright white with some very faint metallic flecks which makes the colour slightly off-white.

It is a nice looking white car, but not what we expected in appearance. Did anyone else have a similar reaction?

Interestingly, the dealer's employee made a point of saying the paint colour would look different outside their building, before we had even seen the car, which they kept under a tarp to make for an eventual dramatic reveal. We suspect that others had the same initial reaction as us, as the dealer was in defensive mode from the very start.

We did order an after market ceramic coating through the dealer (with an offered 10-year warranty and annual touch-ups included in the price). Has anyone ceramic coated a Magnesium model? Did it affect the colour?

I was also concerned initially because I don't like white cars. But it's definitely grown on me. It looks spectacular at night under sodium vapor lights. And if you park next to a white car you'll be surprised at the contrast.

@StevieJB asked the same question above. See post 409 in this thread and you’ll see my thoughts there. But a quick recap, now that I’ve had another 4+ days with the setup — STILL LOVE IT! :) :) To a discerning eye or hand, you will find slightly dissimilarities across the car. The door grab handle area feels more like vinyl, not quite as soft/supple as the leather of the seats. The dashboard (wood sections) are ever so slightly lighter in color than the seats, but tie in the exterior nicely. In a car that is basically a bunch of shades of gray now (50, tee hee), it really still works cohesively. There is nothing wrong with it, and the combination of textures and such make it work even better. My wife, who drives a Volvo XC40, said it felt far more upscale than her vehicle, even being not much different in MSRP/price. If I had to do it all over again, I’d order Magnesium/Zinc together still — quite pleased with it.
Thanks very much - I'd love to see a photo if that's alright.

The first pic I ever took of mine looks like that paint sample picture.

I keep going back-and-forth on how I feel about the performance badge. I see P*2s every day I commute to work now, so it’s nice to have a little differentiator.

But sometimes it bothers me that the badge is more snow/white when the Magnesium is showing its greys.

They should make those badges in all the different car colors.
