I had my new P2 MY26 delivered yesterday and only noticed later that it's missing the net pockets on the back of the front seats. I went back to the dealer today and they said they have been removed in MY26. I also checked some other MY26 cars while there and same thing with them. Just a heads up to anyone thinking of a MY26 and really like the net pockets.

I did get two proper key fobs with physical keys in them instead of the stupid activity key so I guess you lose some and win some.

No kidding. I'm still at a loss on the massive amount of lost space behind the dash and the center tunnel.
If I could convert those small pockets in the center tunnel to something with a tilting drawer, like the glovebox, it would be so much more manageable.
Coming from a Volkswagen, the two things I honestly miss most are the storage compartment in front of the driver's left knee (left hand drive / North American models), and headrest that slides out/forward.

rsp 100 EUR, cost is about 20 eur with logistics and such.
A saving for Polestar in the region of 40-50 eur per sold car, good for their bottomline.
And they save on only needing 1 main SKU for the seat backs.

Volvo have been doing the same for years, they remove things one by one...

Has nothing to do with people not purchasing the car at price +200.
The price of the car (next MY) will go up, and if the manufacturer can lower the production costs at the same time - while keeping most of the customers happy - profit!

Most of the customers will neither know or care about the missing netpockets.
But if they activly want them, there are the most premium seats with pockets.

People that understand that the pockets are gone can skip the car, or source the pockets from ebay etc.

Well, if someone skips the car then that's definitely profit lost. But if they increase the price of the car to account for the pockets then no one is likely to skip the car, the extra cost is unlikely to deter anyone from buying, and no profit is lost.
