Wheel Tire Car Vehicle Land vehicle

It's so new they haven't removed the caliper/rotor covers, it seems. I haven't seen it in person. A porter took this picture with who knows what camera and under what lighting. I thought it would have the stripe for some reason. I will probably add something. Rather than be bothered it doesn't have a strip, I now have a canvas to work with. I might do the strip as they have it anyhow minus the 2. I liked the strip, I didn't love the 2 baked into the strip.

The Polestar 2 non-BST versions had a few things I didn't love about the look, but the BST fixes a few of those. The wheels are much nicer than the alternatives on non BSTs.

The real win is that I just did not like how the lower trim was black and not body-colored combined with the actual ride height. Those two things together made it start to look like a cross-over (IMO), and I want a small sports sedan.

Should be able to pick this up pretty soon. It came ahead of schedule by over a week, so now I get to torture myself knowing it's ready for me, but I can't go get it yet because of my own schedule.

Did you order it with the stripe? It also doesn't have the door sticker/badge on it.

It’s definitely is the color of a battleship, it will look great with or without the stripe. I think the stripe will balance it out, but also adds attention you might not want. The stripe seems a bit strange to me on the upper glass, you might want to omit that section.

I didn't order it. Here is the story.

I drove the 2 without the performance package, but it felt wrong. Someone on the forums here convinced me to go back and try the Performance version. Felt like a different car to me. Glad I did that.

Having driven the 2 with the performance package, it felt way better; I started to change my mind, and it the 2 came up to the top of the list along with more expensive cars and the electric M50 BMW.

I still didn't like a few things about the car's overall look. But having looked at the BMW in person, that grill was uglier than what I didn't like about the stubby rear end of the 2. I also want not a fan of lower trim in black and not body-colored, the actual ride height, wheel selection, and some other minor things.

Some of those things I can fix with wrap or aftermarket wheels, but some I can not.

So I said if you can find a Polestar BST in Battleship Grey, I'll take it. They did, so I did. I didn't think they could find a BST period, let alone the BST in Battleship Grey. Why they had one, I will never know. Perhaps someone backed-out. Perhaps it was from the "extras" they added to the US allocation. I would just be guessing.

I know it's dumb and perhaps vain, but the rare nature of the BST gave me a new item to vibe on, and I then I was out of excuses and the PROS were much longer list than the CONS and here we are.

I almost always do something to make my cars stand out from the pack. This car is rare enough still where I don't feel that urge, but I know how this goes with me. I already emailed my guy and said I don't know specifically what I want, but after 10 years and 10 cars, 3 of which got racing stripes or other racing-inspired decals, I am sure we will come up with something. I am not worried about it at all.

All I have is that picture. I am sure when I get it home it will start to speak to me.

How does it drive/feel?!
I should put some miles on it before I answer this question since all I have managed to do is bring it home from the LA Polestar Space. Today, she will start her job as my daily driver in LA traffic and occasionally the "let's take a drive" detox therapy canyon carver.

It doesn't feel much different than a loaded non-BST, but my baseline is the equivalent of 2 short test drives where I haven't asked for much out of the car. I certainly don't like the drive any less than Ppack version I test drove.
