MY24 production start.
Hi, does anyone know when MY24 starts production? My P2 (ordered Sept 9th 22)is now scheduled to be built late April.. so must be close to the cutoff?

As someone with a MY24 on order, I'd love to know as well 
I order mine at the start of March and the website states an October delivery. I have been told it will be an MY2024 model. I am not sure of the switch over though. I did read that delivers (in the UK anyway) will be Q3 this year

As was already said, model year change over for Volvo/Polestar usually follows the schedule of ramping down production in April, retooling/retraining, and ramping back up in May.
What surprises me is all of you Europeans saying delivery dates of September or October. I know they're shipping from China as opposed to either Sweden or Belgium, but those delivery dates are later than usual. October is typically when we'd start seeing deliveries of a new model year here in NA.
I wonder if there's some sort of additional retooling/restaging considerations around the new motors and batteries.

Ordered in September last year and they haven't built the car yet!? That's insane. What was so special about your order, if you don't mind me asking, that they haven't been able to build it in 6 months?
They did that last year when about 300 orders (including mine) in Australia were cancelled because the factories had to be closed down for Covid, a month before they retooled their factories to MY23 model cars, and migrated all our orders to MY23 model year for no extra cost. So we got the MY23 cars at MY22 prices.I’m not that lucky mate haha
Nothing special at all its a company car and is the basic SMSR in magnesium, zinc interior with 20" wheels (as the 19" apparently were causing delays!!!).
