After a bit of research, the pleasure mate is a camper from the late 70s that's long been out of business. As far as the NC DMV knows, they're making a comeback!

Of all the things you don’t want your Mrs to see what you spend your money on ……..top of the list would be a Pleasure Mate…..

 

That subtotal looks a bit high. (might be the nc ev charge?) I'll find out what NC DMV classifies mine as in about 3 months.

 

The total is accurate, there’s an included $140 BEV charge. I'm going to refer to the car as the Pleasure-mate from now on.

 

Yes - I made a thread about it also - took three messages to DMV to get it changed.

Oh you silly NC Department of Motor Vehicles Online...

Went to pay my North Carolina Vehicle Property Tax through their online portal and there appears to be a coding error...they listed the make as "PLEASURE MATE CAMPING TRAILER" and model as "2" I sent them an email requesting they remedy this - included a link to the official Polestar 2 web...

Yup, I had the same problem.

one call to the DMV got it fixed.

something about the dealership submitted it as PLST instead of POLE or something to that order

 

Personally, I'm perfectly happy to have my car registered as a Pleasure Trailer, particularly since my Pleasure Trailer is valued at -- and thus taxed on -- about a third of what my Polestar should be.

 

I wish that was the case for me! The valuation and taxes are accurate, sadly.
