In the US, the Plugshare app is your best friend. Find compatible chargers on your route, read check-ins to make sure they’re working, view pics to ensure they’re not Signet chargers & then set them as intermediate destinations in the nav.

I’m assuming there’s a similar app for the UK, but don’t know for sure.

Did you try the same route on a PC or phone then add a charger?

I'm just trying to see if it's a car setting or Google updating / messing up.

Could just be Google is playing up and not the app in the car.

On a phone it works fine, there are dozens of options. Even in the car I can search for chargers locally and it finds them it just seems the route planning option is not working

Have you tried setting your plug type in the Google Maps mobile app settings and seeing if that carries across to the car?

Did you have 4G internet access at the time?

I was definitely online because it found the location and planned the route. I took the car to tesco tonight and it’s started working again. Looks like a google issue (again). They have a habit of releasing alpha software......

I’m sure the delays of the app and phone as a key, etc are more Google than polestar. I wonder how much of the rest could be due to Android automotive too - like infotainment not shutting down properly leading to 4G not initiating right on next start, or 12V drainage, etc
