Hi friends,
Been super excited to finally take delivery of my Polestar 2 - which I picked up yesterday. I cruised around for a couple hours with no problem. It was such a great experience being cocooned in such a futuristic cabin (previous car was made in 1999).
However, when I hopped into the car last night to grab some dessert, I noticed that my infotainment screen was frozen. I did a soft reset (i.e. held down the home button for 30+ seconds until the screen rebooted) and...nothing....the screen is now completely blank and my gauge cluster isn't showing the typical google maps screen. I tried a couple time rebooting to see if I would get a different outcome...no luck...I tried again this morning and still, nada..zip...zilch...nothing. Even tried a hard reset pushing the front windshield de-fogger down for 30+ seconds.
Its like I was transported back to 1999...in a 2022 model year car. I think it's actually worse since my 1999 car had a pixel screen which has never failed me (and a radio while I'm at it). I'm pretty disappointed given that I've had the car for less than 24 hours and the infotainment is already a bust and with it... all the amenities of a 55K+ dollar car.
Do ya'll have any suggestions on how to resolve this problem? I've called Polestar already and even went to the service center in town. They basically said I was sh*t outta luck until Monday since they are closed for the weekend. The guy didn't seem too surprised either, which was disheartening. Little buyers remorse too since I had a Tesla Model 3 order and opted to cancel and instead go with Polestar because I didn't want to deal with any of the "Tesla hassle" that comes with owning one...
So I'm turning to ya'll for some help since I'm not getting any help until Monday and I really want to drive this car for the weekend.
Thanks in advance!
