Hi all

This forum is my everyday go to place for a while. After the great news that the first Polestars arrived in Belgium this week. I thought that is the right time to join.
I am a big Volvo fan for years and was looking into something more ecofriendly than a normal combustion engine. I currently drive aAudi s3 convertible a great car from every angle but not an EV.
I might not be the standard EV car buyer, because the Performance Package is only the beginning, hoping that the Öhlins are also adjustable in heigh and that the plan to fit 22 or minimum 21inch wheels will work also. Happy to be here and read some fancy plans and later then see great pictures.

Welcome to the forum @crayative2 !
Keep us posted on your delivery and modifications. It would be cool to see a modified version of the Polestar 2!

Welcome to the forum @crayative2! The performance package is looking like a must add option on the 2!

Hi,

A quick hello to everyone.

Ordered a Midnight performance P*2 back in July but only recently found this forum.

Attended Farnborough test drive which was great, and a good 1/2 hr route on a few types of road. I knew electric was quick, but...whoosh - taken by surprise quite how quick. Brake feel pretty good to me. Interior quality also good.

Google tested straight away - couldn't find how to turn aircon to max as it was a hot day but..."Hey Google turn aircon to max" (or similar) and it did it first try!

Looking forward to a due date soon - October delivery displayed on my account!

Cheers!

Hello all from Reston, Virginia (just west of Washington DC). I ordered a midnight P*2 in May, hoping for delivery some time soon :). This will be my first BEV; my current vehicles are a Volvo XC70 T6 Polestar, which I adore, and a Chrysler Pacifica PHEV that I put about 1/4 tank of gas into every couple months just to keep the ICE engine happy, but run mostly in EV mode. I've test driven Teslas, and they are fine cars, but the prospect of an EV with Volvo/Polestar DNA was irresistible.

Hi, I have placed my order after a test drive in Banbury. What a car. I found the online ordering a bit awkward, especially with the mats!
I drove Volvos for many years but when I lost my company fuel card I needed greater efficiency. I have been driving BMWs since, so looking forward to returning to the Volvo family.

Hi all - I've been lurking here while Shari from the NY space gets my order together. I'm an Architect in Durham, North Carolina, USA. I put down my reservation $1K for the Polestar 2 in July 2019. Since then, I've been praying daily that my 2010 Prius keeps it together long enough for it to see the P2 delivery. :)

I'll be interested to hear how the jump from the Prius strikes you.

'Seems Toyota's leadership isn't fully on board with BEVs. 'Damned shame that Toyota and BMW have squandered their lead.

At least BMW are doing something about it - they fired the guy who didn't believe in EVs two years ago and are now working full tilt on electrification.

Toyota, on the other hand, with Honda, still have their heads in the mud. They are both many years behind, sadly, and in complete denial.

I used to work at the NC Clean Energy Technology Center (the NC Solar Center at the time) which has a strong focus on promoting alternative fuel vehicles. I worked on promoting high performance building construction. I'm looking forward to bringing the P2 to the annual alt fuel get-together once we get through this pandemic.

Hello everybody, recently discovered this forum ahead on my delivery on Monday 25th (two days ago) so thanks for all the useful info ahead of delivery.
Midnight, no PP, based in central Glasgow - I live in a flat so no home charging potential at the moment so it'll be an interesting ownership experience. I'll put down a shortened version of week one of ownership in the main forum in a few days, suffice to say there's already been a few hiccups!
Hiccups aside, I'm already impressed with the car and looking forward to a lot more driving in it, including a few trips north once lockdown permits.
