Someone on Facebook took their car in for servicing and came out with P2.7.

I have that problem with huskies too.

And wives... but at least that one I did one at a time...
But you did multiple huskies at once 😬😂

Yup... when I thought my then 11-year-old husky was about to pass away I wasn't ready to be without a dog so got another one. 3 years later the older one's still kicking and the younger one is eating me out of house and home. And we've talked about getting another one...

Every time I visit the XC40 Forums I get the impression there’s a lot more overlap between our vehicles than anyone who works at Polestar would ever dare admit. Their thread about their version 2.7 update contains pretty much exactly the same arguments about whether their OPD changed.

Yes, and combined with all the volvo marked parts this really feels like just an marketing exercise.

Which would be fine with me! I’m just tired of how much they pretend otherwise, and seem to completely ignore that they could be comparing notes. Good chunk of Polestar 2 owners and good chunk of C40 and XC40 Recharge owners talking about OPD changes that weren’t documented? Maybe look at some of the joint code…

Agreed, it should be a positive and provide some confidence.

I think I found another bug in P2.7. Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but I'm on another trip to SoCal, and last night I came home and plugged into my brothers 110v plug (I was at 70 percent SoC) at 9PM just to get a little extra charge for the morning, as my father is in the hospital. Charging started with no errors. This morning...I was still at 70 percent SoC LOL. Looks like L1 granny charging no longer works....
This morning...I was still at 70 percent
I had a similar event (SoC 68% on a timed charge, failed to charge), looks like a random charge failure but it's only happened once to me so I'm not sure if it's 2.7.

Well, I was extremely excited when 2.7 was announced to be OTA, as I would be receiving my very first OTA since delivery (2.2). OTA functionality was found to be "broken" when I never received the Canadian 360 camera recall. Supposedly fixed when i was updated to 2.5.1, now i'm being told to go in from Polestar Vancouver's service center.

Yes, I tried to chat with the very useless support group. They provided no further details about my car and just told me to schedule a service.

Did you have any preconditioning timers set during that period? I could see that overcoming some small gains from Level 1 charging.

Yes, but they are set for 8am. I should have at least gotten to 80 percent SoC as it was plugged in for 10 hours
Updated to 2.7 and now I got the "Propulsion system. Service required." message, along with the expected tire pressure sensor message... Haven't driven the car since the update yet, will check it out tomorrow morning. Will the message go away by itself?
EDIT: And the message did go away in the morning!

Updated my dual motor 2023 P*2 PPP to 2.7. Now I get a message that the Trailer System has a fault and car needs to be taken for service. Waiting to hear back from the service place - they say they haven't come across that problem before and are researching.

I actually received a somewhat useful, if vague, reply from Polestar regarding the change to OPD in 2.7. It is something they are aware off, so maybe they do agree that something has changed? Either way, will be interesting to see what happens in any future updates, if this change is explicitly addressed/mentioned/fixed, or if they just hope they can stay silent on it and hope it goes away.

Good Afternoon,

Thank you for the email,

I can confirm this is something that we are aware of and has been fed back to our quality team who will take this feedback on for future improvements with the ota's moving forward.

If you have anything further to raise please get in touch on 08000517863.

Kind regards,

Jordan

I got 2.7 a few days ago. So far so good. I got the tyre pressure reset request, did that all OK
One pedal driving seems exactly the same to me.
The active steering is much better and you dont need to grip the wheel tightly, a resting hand is enough
The 360 degree camera image is much improved less distortion
And it might be my imagination but it seems a little bit more efficient

Have to agree on the lane keeping being much improved with a very noticeable reduction in the amount of torque required to keep the wheel nagging at bay. It's was more tiring before having it enabled, but it's actually useful now.

Awesome to see some positive refinements as time goes on. Even if some seem like regressions.

Same here - much better at keeping the car centered in the lane and more usable. Overall things are improving, I like the regular updates.

Another reason I'm not feeling any need to apply 2.7. I don't use lane keeping a lot but I've only ever had to rest my hand lightly on the wheel. I find the variability between cars somewhat surprising such as the current divide over whether OPD has changed or not.

My new theory on that is that OPD has always been different between individual vehicles (or more likely, batches of vehicles with different components). There have always been people who hate OPD, say it's too aggressive, hard to maintain a constant speed, makes passengers sick etc. I'll admit my first thought was always "gee, you must be really ham footed" but what if their OPD WAS more aggressive and it's now been mellowed with 2.7 while other batches of vehicles which were always more mellow are unaffected? Would explain why some say it hasn't changed as theirs has always been mellow.
I'm stuck to P2.2.
Polestar Support Belgium detected that my P2 was not up to date.
Géraldine first sent me an email suggesting to switch off - switch on Internet connection. It did not work. She called me and we agreed on a date for a fix at Volvo Nordicar Liège.
I think its a bit much talk about OPD but its really the mapping of the pedal that is way different.
I have basically almost gotten used to the OPD behaviour but the amount of travel on the pedal to actually get the car to go fast and how boring of a manner it now does it in (on my SMLR) is a much bigger issue I think.
And there is no doubt the car isnt coasting anymore ( with OPD off) its always has a tiny bit of throttle on.
So we should really treat this as a throttlepedal mapping issue rather then just a OPD issue.

And then there is a steering and stereo issue too, since those are changed for the worse, in my book.
