Payment Timeline (UK)

Can anyone give me a lead as to how long after the payment was made till it should show on your account?

Have had a myriad of issues with online portal, so not sure if this is a payment issue or IT issue. Payment was made (faster payment) on Tues, and nothing showing yet. As it is they've already cancelled my delivery yesterday (despite not telling the delivery driver) and I'm getting a little nervous that this car won;t ever show up!

Thanks

Mine took about 24 hours. I think it was about 2pm the day after i made the transfer. I did it in four lumps and it was the same for each.
I can pay ... but not going to until I know it's a couple of weeks away. At the moment mine still say November ... I might do a £100 just to test it out.

Edit: Just paid them £100 ... will let you know.

However site is being crap again and not logging into accounts.
Like you I expected almost immediate notification in my portal. I had to pay over two days due to bank limits. The first days payments appeared a few days later. The second days never. However I did have to contact CS (customer support) about another issue. They confirmed full payment had been made. I suggest you speak to them to put your mind at rest. It appears to me that their IT is not the best.

It can vary, up to a few days. When they received the final payment all the payment details disappear and balance due disappear, be prepared for that.

It’s worth doing a small test payment in advance, some banks are unhappy with the bank account and company name mismatch. My bank (Starling) was fine. I made a token payment then phoned them to authorise a same day large sum payment for the balance.

The bank they use does not participate in the check on account names.

The urban rumour is small payments followed by a large payment upsets banks as well.

Interesting I transferred two large payments on separate days, expecting the bank to phone. They normally do, and then we go around in circuits, they want me to prove who I am, (they phoned me), and I want them to prove who they are, which they can never do.
Gah,
How frustrating. They've offerered me another slot next week, so hopefully will be sorted by then!
So my £100 test must have gone through as they refunded my deposit about 2 hours later!

Still can't access the site though.

I have got on a couple of times today, but only using MS Edge. No luck with other browsers!
My problems were:
I was only given 7 days notice of my delivery date, and went into a flat panic because as soon as i confirmed the date they said my payment was 7 days overdue (they ask for 14 days to clear it). I had decided not to pay until they gave me a date.
I paid in three tranches, and my bank blocked them due to fraud precautions. As above, UK banks don't get an account name confirmation from the receiving bank so get twitchy.
My payment took 2-3 days to show on my account, because it is allocated manually from your payee reference (order no)
The last payment has not appeared on the day before delivery was due, so i phoned them and they said no problem, the car would still be delivered. They found the payment and updated my account. All good, but a hassle!

Yes, I forgot to mention that you need to use your order number as a reference with the payment if you don't want needless delays.
It took about 48 hours for each of my payments to show up. First was £500 test, then the balance in two more payments once I got a delivery date. The first two showed up on my account (each after 48 hours) with a downloadable invoice for each. The third final payment, removed the whole payment section from my account, and it took a few emails and over a week to get them to email me a final payment invoice.

I kind of assumed when the payment bit disappeared, the payments were in. I paid in two instalments, the bank (HSBC) only allowed 25,000 a day, and because it's above 10,000 the faster payments limit, the payment was always at the end of next working day. Added to that the bank it is going to does not reciprocate in account name verification, and is not a proper UK bank, did make the transfer a little disconcerting. So a Sunday and Monday payment arrived at the same time Tuesday. Think it was on Wednesday, the payment bit on the site had vanished. Never did get any thankyou for payment. Car was delivered the next Monday, so must have got through.

At least their bank details came from their website, and not some easily forgeable email.
I paid full whack straight away and I think it took 3 days or so to go through. I think Bazza77 was right in saying contact their customer support if you have a concern, they were helpful with my issue. If you have trouble getting through it shows they have a wider issue as I used to get through 6 weeks ago within 10 minutes tops.

So after sending £100 on Friday around 2pm it still has NOT registered in my account.

I used the online chat at 10am yesterday for someone to look into it ... and then called them around 4pm as I had not heard back. Still nothing today ... let's see if they call me back today.
It took 7 days to show in my account! Sent the money last Friday, didn't appear until today.
