Maybe, but it's not present in the other photos of the same car. What's also missing from the other photos, are the transmitters on the wheels. So if I had to guess, that tiny taped in bump is a receiver for those wheel transmitters. There seems to be a lidar bump on the front of the roof as well.
Ride height looks the same to me in the pictures where the car is stationary.Looks like a lower ride height. That would probably give it a big aero bump and improve range.

Yeah, it definitely looks like taped on test apparatus.Maybe, but it's not present in the other photos of the same car. What's also missing from the other photos, are the transmitters on the wheels. So if I had to guess, that tiny taped in bump is a receiver for those wheel transmitters.
I'm also not a fan of the bland grills. All these EVs look the same. I know the aero is an issue, but the current grill is kind of unique and interesting.I like the checked grille. Elements of ICE-vehicles in the exterior and interior design (such as a recessed driver's display) were appealing to me as I moved from 23 years with a pickup truck to the P2. Maybe I'm just old, ha!
Looks like a new plate they are testing for sure like XC/C40. Nice!Yeah, it definitely looks like taped on test apparatus.
Check my earlier comment, car is banking a lot in the corner…Looks like a lower ride height. That would probably give it a big aero bump and improve range.

Same here. I don't get these EVs that do their best to look like something totally different both exterior and interior. We liked the PS2 for how it looked, not because it is an EV.I like the checked grille. Me neither.I don't believe for a second that the car in the pictures has anything to do with the possibly upcoming facelift.
100% agree with @Bl4ckD0g @josephreese and @AntoreSame here. I don't get these EVs that do their best to look like something totally different both exterior and interior. We liked the PS2 for how it looked, not because it is an EV.
Me neither.
Yes but the C40 was cleaned up and looks smoother and more integrated.that XC40 recharge front is just horrible...
although I like the model S better without that silly grill from the early years.
Wheels look like MY23 19", why do they tape that? They want to fill the remaining gaps for MY24?
Compared to competition the P2 while a beautiful design is inefficient and has poor aerodynamics. I sure hope they change the front grille to match the new C40. There is no reason to have a old fashioned slotted ICE grille on such a modern vehicle just to please traditionalists. If you look at the battery and drivetrain architecture the current grille does nothing for cooling. All new Polestars have a sleek front end without fake ICE grilles so naturally the P2 will follow suit.Same here. new S40 confirmed 🤞Both cars on the pictures are registered as Volvo´s and owned by Volvo Cars. I do not think they are Volvo´s anyway. The registration is more a sign of the "close cooperation" with Volvo and Polestar.
Behind my P*2's grill there appears to be a heat exchanger or radiator of some sort. Are you sure the grille serves no purpose whatsoever?Yes but the C40 was cleaned up and looks smoother and more integrated.

Volvo’s approach to front end styling on the C40/XC40 recharge:Yes but the C40 was cleaned up and looks smoother and more integrated.
