I'm questioning the power numbers for both the std. LRDM and the Performance Pack equipped one. Both have fairly dramatic increases in torque, but no change in HP, and no change, or actually slower for the std LRDM, 0-60 times?!

It's the same with all other brands. That's why the wait with these announcements until the last moment - don't want to cannibalize current model sales.

Edit: Will probably happen again in 3 years.

At least it shows PS2 development has gone on in parallel with the PS3 and they have not dropped the model.

Yeah if you look close you can see the taped sensors or whatever on the wheels too. This is just one of those testers that got spotted, not what it will really look like.
I'm afraid not. From the Polestar website:

"In 2023, Polestar 2 received a number of key upgrades including larger batteries, more powerful motors, rear-wheel drive for the single-motor versions and a lightly updated front end which features the Polestar SmartZone, which debuted on Polestar 3."

Which makes sense. The front in particular is part of the identity of a brand (BMW, Audi, Mercedes, etc.). In the case of PS, that would be the Smartzone introduced with the PS3.

So, I would suspect that the grill will be a direct swap, and the radar and camera will use the same connectors as MY23 and older,
That would be great and I am sure curious minds will try to confirm soon.

I can already see a swap meet going on ;)

DMLR/Thunder/Plus/Pilot/Hitch has become €4.5k more expensive from yesterday to today. 3.8k€ if you calculate in the pixel light and the granny charger. €750 is attributable to reduced subsidies due to the higher base price (and €10 to the trailer hitch ;) ). So in the end, it's 3000€, ~5% more, which I find acceptable for the changes.
