Does anyone know if the Polestar 3 will be built on the same platform as the Lotus Eletre? They are both Geely owned but the lotus seems to have much more oomph.

I don’t know, but if it was a little smaller I’d go with the Lotus, it’s a knockout. I’m already pushing the size limit with the Polestar 3 but I can’t wait to get it!

Oh I thought they were about the same size (assuming same platform of course). Price-wise they seem comparable. The Eletre R does sub 3 0-60 which just makes me twitchy excited. Unfortunately I’m too old and my reflexes are too slow to really use that power.

Polestar 3 and EX90 are on the SPA platform but the Eletre is a Geely platform, EPA I think.

Looked into it and you’re right it’s like 10” longer and a few inches wider than the 3. Wow that’s a huge car. It won’t fit in my garage.

P3 is from SPA2, Electre is from EPA. The platform of Electre is more close to Zeeker's SEA platform. Lotus is for sure a more sport brand than Polestar, and unfortunately Lotus electre also seems more luxury both inside and outside than P3.

The pricing isn’t bad. It’s like 90K euros, which is roughly 100K US. That’s the same as the Polestar 3. Of course that’s for the base model, and the R trim starts at like 125K euros but even so.

I just suspect Volvo throw its most genius salesmen to polestar China.
