My phone works very reliably to unlock the car at any of the four doors (phone in pocket). It does not work at all for opening the trunk with either the button or the foot sensor regardless of where I hold the phone. If I unlock the car at one of the doors I can use the button on the trunk to open it.

Once in the car, I can only engage a gear if I hold the phone low in the drivers footwell. Once I’m in “drive mode” I can put the phone into the space in the console, although had a moment this morning when my wife got out of the car at work and the car thought the key had gone with her so had to move the phone back into the footwell to go again. Going to setup my wife’s phone later to see if that is any better/different.

Wife’s phone now setup and exactly the same results. Others seem to have no problems at all with PAK so I don’t believe this to be a software issue, there must be a Bluetooth radio strength / position problem in my opinion. Question is, lots of folks on here seem to have similar experience, has anyone ever tried to get anything done about it under warranty? The manual clearly states that PAK should essentially work in the same way as the keys (should just need to have it on your person), including operating the trunk via the kick sensor, so we appear to have faulty modules. I think I might raise it with the lease company as I would really like this functionality to work as advertised…
