Faster charge time is good, but with the buildout of charging (and with better uptime than today) the charge time gets less important.
If you are on a trip and don’t have to do elaborate planning with Google maps every time, but just go and drive without starting to feel panic at 20% and checking the map a hundred times, that will be better for owning an EV than to be able to charge five minutes faster. At least if you do 90% of charging at home or at work.

I think that StoreDots other claims are more interesting, the cheap and safe Silicon instead of Lithium, higher energy density, semi solid. Maybe fast charging is the most marketable ability and they went for that angle.
They are very secretive and we don’t know if they maybe have some other Achilles heal like using some rare earth.
If not and they are able to make batteries with higher energy density it is great for the whole world, not just automotive, any battery could be this. On paper it is cheaper and better, but there are hundreds of battery research/companies who claim this.
