One of the most annoying things about electric cars is that every company selling you power also wants you to sign up to pay for the privilege through their handy dandy app. If only there were a piece of plastic that you already owned and used to spend money at stores everywhere. Well, Polestar customers may be getting something similar.

A new tie-up with Plugsurfing means that all Polestar owners will be given an RFID tag through which they can pay for charging at ports all Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK. This is especially helpful in Europe since countries like Sweden and the UK may not only have their own charging networks but their own currencies, too.

With one app, though, Polestar owners will have access to more than 195,000 charging stations in those countries. Through the Google Maps embedded in the infotainment system, customers will also be able find the nearest accessible charging point.
