A month to the day, I got an early Christmas present - my Polestar 2 is back home. I have a letter from the senior service adviser confirming the work done and where it was done. All of which I was aware off during the weeks the car was in the sick bay. Part of the delay was due to the complete shut down which resulted in the car being dragged onto the trailer; and a staff shortage which led to a 90 mile trip to the nearest dealership in their group which had a trained tech (presumably with a supply of rubber wellies and gloves to play around with the batteries). So when the car was returned to me it had been washed in two Volvo garages with a 90 mile "road test".

And it felt good being back in the car after 1 week in a Tesla Model S and 3 weeks in a Volvo XC60. The latter was great for moving a lot of stuff but only have 21 miles max on battery really made me appreciate the range of the Polestar 2. i am hoping all the work means no more problems. 🤞 Only disappointment - no first aid kit or jack (they are on order, "some are coming through now"?? Oh, and still no hoodie left on the back seat.

I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but don't forget to have them give you the foam frunk insert to hold the jack.

Great to hear you've got your car back :)

I got my car last Friday, requested the jack and first aid kit via customer services on Saturday, and had a call from the local Volvo dealership on Monday to say they'd come in!

Could you post the cost when they’ve been fitted please?
£299 😳

And that's after a discount applied by the garage.

In mitigation, it was a special order and delivery from Sweden through a main dealer, rather than from a tyre specialist.

I consul myself with the fact that I'm back on the road sooner than would have been the case otherwise, and it would undoubtedly have been more expensive still if we were talking BMW rather than Volvo / Polestar (Fun Fact: I was quoted £300 for an oil change on my previous 320d by the local BMW dealer!!!)

Still the most expensive tyre I've ever bought - it had better be a good one.

Thanks for that. Still a heck of a lot cheaper than mine in identical circumstances.

Hello. Finally had my appointment to get the coolant warning checked out that started after the inverters recall (see RECALL WORK COMPLETED?).

They said it just needed topping up. The probably introduce an air bubble or something during the recall work which worked its way out!

I've hardly been using the car since December but it didn't seem to cause any problems!
