My wife doesn't have the app on her phone, but obviously when the car sees her key it sets all the variables to her choices.... as you know you cannot plug the car into charge or unplug it if it doesn't see a key.... so is scheduling user defined i.e it sees her key and sets her schedule ignoring the one on my app? even if she hasn't set one.... would it still ignore my app and shift to default because she never set one?..... I guess default would be schedule off

The theory sounds reasonable. Verify by having your wife set a different schedule under her profile and see what happens when she plugs the charger.
