So had the car for exactly 2 weeks now. Absolutely loving it, had 2 main gripes. (1 more significant than the other).

1. Driver Door mirror wont return to its normal position after dipping for reverse parking. It tries to return but is just not quite there and annoying enough to notice. In the end turned off the mirror dipping and now just using the 360° camera.

2. It seemed random on how to keep the dashboard illuminated after putting the car on charge, so I can look out my home window and check on charge status. When I went to lock the car it just turned off but one time it stayed on.
- I have worked this one out however I think. If you go into the car and 'lock cable' on your centre iPad rather than the button on the charge port, it seems to remain illuminated after you lock with your key and leave the car.

Other than that, car has been brilliant.

I had the same issue with the driver's door mirror, but after 2 weeks it seems to have just sorted itself out. Almost as though it was physically sticking and has now freed itself so it works. I guess it may return as the weather gets colder so something to look out for. It's a really useful feature to have I think.

Got my car Monday. I manually adjusted the mirrors and noticed at first drivers door mirror was a little slower or sluggish. Moved it up down a few times and it’s absolutely fine. Almost like it needed to be ‘run in’.

Someone had mentioned somewhere else that if you go from reverse to drive too quickly the mirrors stop moving?

Hmm I'll give that a go then, I'll move it through all its degrees of freedom a few times and see if it works. First car I've had with tilting mirrors so I'm used to living without.

Ahh this sounds possible, I do have to make quick adjustments sometimes when getting in the lines haha. Time for some testing!

On point 1 i had the same issue when i got the car. Brought it to my local volvo dealer and by pressing the left and right mirror buttons AT THE SAME TIME mirrors somehow started to reset/move. Let me know if this helps.

I’m having the same issue without any fix yet. Pressing both buttons folds the mirrors (as it should). Better than 50% of the time driver side does not return after backing up.

1. Go into menu and turn off all auto-dipping.

2. When you really need that dipped mirror, double tap the L or R on the drivers door. It will dip that mirror.

Done this from day 1 and had zero problems, plus mirrors don't dip when I don't want or need them too.

Well I didn't know that!

Just a note that I got the Android 10 update yesterday, and the mirror dipping issue remains. Seems like if you go above 4 or 5mph in reverse that the passenger mirror returns to normal position from the dip. I actually wouldn't mind this behavior if it dipped down again once I was slow, but it doesn't and I need the dip to prevent curb rash.

OK thanks for the update.

Still I'd use the method I stated above, it works every time and mean you only dip when needed, rather than all the time.

Why do you push the lock button at all. My cable locks automatically after it's plugged in. The button is only needed to unlock the cable.

I have the same issue too. The driver’s side mirror often won’t return back to its original position after reversing (with the auto dipping setting on) or after being parked (with the mirrors retracted).
I had PS looked at it and they think the latest software would fix it. While I saw marginal improvement, I still experience this issue and will disable the driver’s side mirror reverse dipping function so I will experience this problem less until they could find a more reliable/permanent fix.

Sometimes have the same problem with the mirror not returning, get round it by pressing the seat profile memory button 1 or 2, mirror then returns every time.

Just took delivery of mine today and has this exact mirror issue. Hoping your experience is echoed for me.

Congratulations! I have turned this option on again after the cat has been updated but it still fails sometimes. It's very random. I am on version P2126.

Have had mine for 6 months and this still happens about 50% of the time. I finally just set memory 1 to my regular seating and mirror position. Now when it happens I just press 1 and it returns. Never happens on passenger side. You would think if P* can make it work on one side it would work on the other. Also, suggestion from others is to double click the mirror button to raise or lower, but I have never gotten that to work.
