hmmm, not sure about "Park Assist Pilot introduced"...this is not in the release notes.

 

when will this be available OTA? Just took delivery last week. Looks like a very substantial upgrade!

 

Usually takes two or three weeks. I'm going to see if I can schedule this update tomorrow at my local service center.

Nothing about the HUD, which is my most annoying bug! I turn it off, but it keeps coming back on, even though it is set to Off. Unless this is under "general stability improvements" (I sure hope so - we will see).

 

Same here. I am hoping the fix is included in the update.

Lots of improvements, but I don't see a line item for remembering individual driver seat and mirror positions when switching profiles. Hope it's in there, will test when my P3 gets returned.

 

Seat and steering wheel functionality improvements maybe? For me, I noticed that the side mirrors and steering wheel changed between profiles but the seat settings did not

I haven't yet got it back, but it looks like it is done.

 

On the EX90 release notes there are several other items,.. I wonder if they end up in the P3 as well:

• Turn off lane keeping aid, settings are stored
• Fixes for forward collision warning system

Phone as key uses Samsung Wallet so I had to set that up.

It must work with Google Wallet? Samsung Wallet requires a Samsung phone according to one site.

I agree, crazy that its still missing given the price of the car.

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but in NL the software shows for only the 2025 model, not the LE 2024. don't know how that is in other countries.

It could just be that there is a delay in updating the page, but it could also be that they prioritze the 2025 model for this one?

in Belgium it was the opposite, so I guess it is a delay in the page updates.
the manual now also includes info on CarPlay for example.

 

I have a LE 2024 and have just received the update (in Belgium). In the service center to be clear, I had an appointment for my door handle and they updated software as well.

can you explain walk away locking feature? I am not familiar with that feature/

 

I just got an email that it's available OTA today, if you drive for 1,5 hours it will be downloaded in the background.

Can you email the polestar sender and ask if there is anyway to trigger download in background without driving for 1.5 hrs? Can it be done on driveway if car powered & unlocked for example?

After about an hour and a half of driving, your car will simply download the update "over-the-air". Once the update is ready, you will automatically receive a notification on the central display of your Polestar 3. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the update. so no fix on battery drain? Or is that stability fixes?

 

The battery drainage issue is a hardware issue apparently and earlier material suggested that there would be a repair/swap of a component in 2025 to resolve it but I've never had anything concrete on that as it was part of early EX90 release notes.

 

I just asked and according to support its not available OTA so perhaps that email was getting ahead of itself or they are using one country as an OTA tester.

I've asked when we can expect it to go OTA.

 

The update is now showing up on Polestar website in Canada.

Update notice came in on Tuesday, and had no issues with the install.

I do like the walk away locking function. Auto sensing wiper is indeed off until entering the vehicle. It seems that it turns on when driver sits down, not linked to pulling down to start the car as was mentioned previously.

Really like CarPlay and I’ve started exploring the capabiliies. Never have had opportunity to use that before, so excitied to have that as an addiitonal source of tunes.

It does seem that the prompts to keep two hands on the wheel while using adaptive cruise control have been eliminated. Which is much appreciated.

Overall, this went very smoothly and I’m really liking the improvements. Hopefully, the random freak outs are also in the past. I’ll follow back if those show up again.
