I don’t know the specifics, but driving from 90% - 35% seemed to charge the backup battery. It was mentioned by polestar support to drive down to 15%. The dealer can use VIDA to check.

However the error msg disappeared around 35%. I went back to the vehicle status page and the error was gone.

Did the dealer confirm the TCAM battery is charged up to 45%? I found this article for other Volvos regarding TCAM battery:

if the TCAM module is suspect, then GPS LTE functionality would be broken.

… a follow up, eCall error has not returned as I’ve driven the vehicle about 100 miles. GPS and LTE is working fine as well …
