Just reserved mine (and my first post!). Been lurking here for a while following a lot of your P*2 ownerships trials and tribulations. I test drive the P*2 a few months ago and really liked it. I was also cross shopping the P*3 with the BMW iX (not a fan of the overall look), the e-tron (in certain trims, but not thrilled with the Audi service experience heard from friends), and the MY (former M3 owner). Overall, pretty excited, but now begins the long wait and likely delays before receiving it.

Edit: ordered spec info

Midnight non-performance with the microtech in charcoal (was wavering between wool, but having dogs, it might be a pain to clean), but did splurge for the 22 4-spoke v wheels and the load carrier; and lastly ordered the trunk and floor mat sets (see dogs comment, ha)

My first ever Polestar 3 order is in! Already driving a Volvo C40 Ultimate P8 recharge in Fjord Blue but I think I needed a change on brands and significant scenery. After watching todays P3 reveal online, I was pumped.

I built out the ⬇

1. Long range dual motor 380 KW with the performance pack.
2. All Wheel Drive
3. 380KW/517HP
4. Color - Jupiter
5. Wheels - 22 inch performance
6. Zinc Nappa Leather with Jupiter deco I interior

I think the Polestar 3 looks like a fitting and good next step for the brand. While I love our little P2, next on my docket is the Rivian R1S, we have an early reservation with the original pricing which nicely specced is just about $80,000 (and hopefully we'll be grandfathered into the $7,500 non income capped tax credit with our reservation, but that remains to be seen. A little bit of apples to oranges for sure. I expect that the P3 will be quite a bit more dynamic on road.

I got a call & text message today from the Bellevue Polestar space congratulating me & confirming my order. Not a big deal, but connecting with an actual human did get me excited that my order is real. I’ve had a Rivian ordered for 2+ years and got nothing but generic mass-emails. It’s the little CS things that make the difference…

A question about the LiDAR, will this be an additional cost option over the drivers package that’s already on the car? Similar to how Tesla has the “advanced autopilot” feature that costs more than the standard autopilot lane keep assist etc? I want to make sure I’m getting everything I paid for, but I’m not particularly interested in full autonomous driving if it’s an additional cost option over what’s coming on my current order.

I definitely think answer is Yes. Which is why making us place new order vs adding on to debut order. They incl pkgs in initial order hence higher than expected $. They will do more pkg options off base price incl addl price for LiDAR incl In performance pack so expect cost to go up a bit but that’s a deal breaker for me w/o the lidar talked about for 3 years. Ingenthal pointed out LiDAR feature but negated to mention still not avail yet.

Here reserve is only 100 eur and fully refundable, so I could not resist :)

Thunder, lights, black standard upholstery

They told us that they might bring a real car to Brussels in February, perhaps to Luxembourg as well, for a few days

First road tests are expected by summer, when likely the Polestar 4 would be known and I could decide between the two

After a great Macan GTS I just sold after 2 years for the same as I paid originally, I fear the depreciation of the Polestar (is not a Porsche) might not compensate the lower acquisition costs

Macan EV will be my other option, more expensive, but overall lower owning costs likely

We’ll see..

Went ahead and placed a deposit for the Polestar 3 Long Range Dual Motor in Toronto, Canada. Decided against LiDAR as the timelines would not have worked out.

Love the Polestar 2, very likely will see this order through, unless the numbers for the Q8 e-tron, EX90, or EQE SUV offer a much better value.

Only real competitor that is available now that was considered is the iX, and although I have loved many BMW's in my time, I just couldn't come to terms with the front grille styling.

Another order is in from Belgium. P3 without performance pack, magnesium, wool charcoal. BMW iX is a great car if you are allowed to take off your blindfold once you are in the driver's seat.
Mercedes EQE SUV has a screaming dashboard compared to the P3. Also single engine on the rear axle, less range, and no hud. Air suspension not sure.

Touché :)

I just cancelled my order for the P3 and ordered an Audi Q8 etron 55, for slightly less price than the Polestar, better equipped, as I benefit from some special discount in Audi and zero in Polestar

After some thought, I simply could not justify paying roughly the same for the two cars .. I think Polestar, while nice, is a step below, by a narrow margin, though ..

I still kind of like the design of the P3 a little bit more, but the Audi was great to drive and the new 114 kWh battery should deliver reasonable range

Yes, sure, now adequate range

I could barely justify the P3 being a little bit cheaper tan the Audi .. I still like it .. but absolutely no way being more expensive equally equipped

I think P3 should be at least 5% cheaper to make more sense in some markets

It is not a criticism on the car itself, but it’s price
