3 weeks in to P4 ownership (previously had Tesla and iPace).

Love the car, but there are a few things that I hope could be improved with future update:

(1) Stereo volume - a small thing, but when you opened the door on the Y (and therefore the sounds travels) it automatically reduced the volume until the door / boot was closed.

(2) The rear view / 360 cameras - very jerky (that I think was created with th blast update) and a bit distorted when compared to a Volvo (friends and family have V70 and an XC90).

(3) CarPlay - doesn’t auto connect consistently.

(4) Range - not sure if this can be improved, but for a car with a 100kw battery it’s pretty poor. Full charge is showing less than 300 miles….compared to the Y which would show (and do) 320-350 from a 75kw battery.

1. Agree. hope they will optimize this

2. they have confirmed that this is known and are working on solving it asap.

3. works well for me but i have deactivated it since i think that the core system is better than carplay so havent tested long term

4. they will probably not say anything about it but i know that for Polestar 2 they released something that improved the electical usage. im averaging 19-20 kWh/100 km so my normal range is around 310-320 when driving mainly highway.

Everyone has different takes.

1) That would annoy me, if I want it turned down, I'll do it!

2) Its not everyone, I have seen no change at all.

3) I don't really use, but my issue with it, is it takes over a whole tile that I use for something else??

4) Tesla is very efficient, always have been on a smaller battery so doubt it will change, it is also 400kg lighter!

I had a Model Y LR for two years before the P4 and there is no way that it would do more than 300 miles on a charge in normal driving! I drove it over long distances (to Germany and back three times) and short distances, plus everything in between and the average was around 3.5 miles/kWh - around town it would get to just over 4. The mileage guessometer in Teslas is famously based on the US EPA rating and is not dynamic. My current consumption average in the P4 over 3000 miles is 3.2 miles/kWh.
