I don't notice it being more sweaty than leather. Or maybe a bit compared to the ventilated leather seats in my SUV.

But a comment I got from a mini driver at a charger that tested the Polestar was "the seats make me sweat".
Anyone who doesn't like the car enough to buy it will come up with all manner of complaints/excused.

I wasn't deeply offended by the non leather options. I did get a slight feeling of sweatness but not a deal breaker. But when we test drove a car in the leather with the ventilated seats on a hot day it was a total game changer. The seats were so much better and the interior was so much more airey it was an easy decision for us. I really wish they'd spent as much effort on the centre console, again not offensive enough to not buy but could have been done so so much better...

I guess WeaveTech can be described as the "coriander of seat materials".
Well, we call it cilantro, but I think you are correct. As for me, I like both cilantro and the WeaveTech. To me, it does not get as hot or sticky as leather. And I could eat a cilantro salad!

Has anyone actually experienced the "embossed textile" option first hand in a Polestar, I can't decide between that and weavetech. The embossed textile sample that I saw didn't look great, but might feel better actually in the car.

I haven't actually seen/felt it, but I can imagine from a stain resistance perspective the weavetech should be a lot better. Cloth is just that when it comes to stains.

With non-Launch Edition versions of P*2 coming soon, I wanted to start this thread.

At the 2019 Polestar 2 preview event in SF, it was stated that WeaveTech is the top-end (non-leather) fabric option and there would be other fabric options available eventually that are better for cleaning upholstery.
Found these in the “Design Story” book that was handed out at the time.
There are many different upholstery fabrics to choose from, but ultimately the synthetic materials are going to be much more durable and practical. I don't like the feeling of them but with kids and animals around it's the best choice.

I had a rental P2 with cloth interior and it was irreparably stained.

I have the standard car with embossed textile and definitely prefer it to the weavetech in the test drive car, which seemed to remind me of wetsuit material. Like quite a few of the marketing images, they don't do the textile upholstery justice, similar to Jupiter being quite different in reality to the configurator colour.

I also just had interior (and exterior) Supagard applied at the local Volvo dealer, who did a great job. Not that my cars often get the chance to end up messy inside, preferring to keep them serial killer clean.
