If no PS dealers, Volvo dealer likely your best bet.

 

Bump! Called a local Volvo that I take a Volvo to, they said they can’t touch Polestars. Guess I’ll take it to a local shop and hope they lift the P*2 properly.

 

Same issue in PA where there are no PS dealers. I scheduled mine at a local, independent Volvo shop that is well known and highly rated. Unlike Pep Boys, or Bubbas we fix any car, they will likely treat it properly.

 

I just took mine to my local gas station and had it done there. No lift required. They just drove it up onto the ramps.

 

There is nothing difficult, nor is anything special required, to lift this vehicle.

 

And yet many vehicles have bent rockers or damaged subframe components because the minimum wage "mechanic" did not know where to position the jack, did not use the correct adapters, etc. These are the same guys who forget to reinstall the oil drain pan plug on ICE cars.

 

It seems like the margin of error for lifting an EV is fairly low -- especially considering the delay and cost behind repairing these cars. Luckily, I sucked it up and went to a local gas station that drove the car on the ramp. In and out, super quick!

 

As I said, your car your choice. Take it wherever you want.
