Ok, so I have my PS2 coming next month, question is, what other kit do I need?

From Polestar....
1. Additional charging cables
2. Floor mats
3. Tow Bar
4. Load carriers

From the lease company, they offered I think:
5. window tinting and maybe some
6. paintwork protection,
(Not sure, but the cost is maybe $1,000-2,000)

Also considering :
7. Screen protector for centre console
8. Changing my phone?

A lot is covered elsewhere, but thought it worth organising that convo to help others navigate (including me). Links are welcome.

What are you glad you got and what have you never used? What else I have missed, also pros and cons, things to think about etc. Let's ignore the charger, that's a whole separate box of frogs. Thanks in advance, hopefully this might help some future readers. This community is great, I've got a lot of useful info already, thank you for posting.

Shouldn’t need additional charge cables. The cables the come with the car should be fine for ac charging. Only need additional ones if need special socket for work
Tow bar should have been ordered at same time as car, still can be fitted but me more expensive
Load carriers if you need them.
Floor mats buy from elsewhere just as good but heck of a lot cheaper.

You don’t want to discuss a charger and they generally do the same just some have ability to work with solar, others are single or triple phase and the apps tend to be the same. Work out the requirements for your home and yourself and find a suitable one.

all the best when you get the car.

Why do you need additional charging cables?
Surly if the paint is no good it will be under warranty and how do you know it needs correction if you haven't got it?
I don't think you need a screen protector either.
Get a tethered charge point then you don't need to remove the cables from the car when at home.

I'm on reservation for a P3, I've owned a Tesla 3 for over 4 years. The screen protector is meh for me - except for glare. with "the everything" on that Tesla screen, summer glare can really impact seeing what you need to know. The P3 has 3 displays (center, dash, heads-up) so the reliance on a single screen is minimized.

I skipped dealer paintwork protection on my Volvos instead opting for PPF on the front facing portions and ceramic on the remainder. Good money spent.

Thanks Lance that's helpful.

Unlike in the UK here in AU it only comes with the granny and not a type2-to-type2 cable

1. Not necessary, everything already included.
2. Floor mats are already included.
3. Would have been cheaper if you ordered it in your factory order, but yes if you need one, no if you don't.
4. Only you know whether you have use for them or not.
5. Depends on the version you've ordered, on rear sides need doing realistically so that is what £80, why would you pay $1000-2000 for that and have a lease company organise it for you?
6. Considering you leased the car I doubt you want to do it, but only you know your roads and the terms of the lease. Still I'd organise it myself, sounds too expensive.
7. Yes, plenty on ebay.
8. Depends on which car you bought; wireless charging is plus pack only and works well for my iPhone 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max, 12 Pro Max, 11, and Samsung Galaxy Fold. Alternatively there are usb-c ports.

Not necessary but I picked up and installed a few little odds and ends which I think we're all worth it:

Sunglasses holder which replaced the driver side handle at the top of the door. You can buy the official Volvo part for around $60 or buy a knock off for around $25 online. I got the knockoff on Amazon and fits fine.

Wrapped the center console with 3m 2080 wrap. I did it myself and wasn't too hard. Looks much better than the stock piano black.

Got a custom key cover to replace the plain plastic key fob cover. You can find plenty on Amazon or Alibaba etc.

Added the Spigen matte screen protector. I like it.

I'd suggest if you haven't already setting yourself up ahead of time in all of the apps for any of the public chargers you'll possibly ever use (and possibly even the ones you don't plan to, just in case).

My 2 cents.
No need for floor mats. Those that come with the car are fine. The ones Polestar will upsell you are heavy duty rubber ones for if you're planning on driving with very dirty shoes :D

I already had a type 2 - type 2 cable from my previous car but I've literally only used it a handful of times. Handy to have, certainly not essential.

Screen protector. Not for me. I don't have screen protectors on my phone so see no need in the car.

Phone charger. Do you have Plus pack with the wireless charger? If not, then you will need a USB-C cable. Get a decent one. I normally get Baseus if I can but I've had a few Fasgear recently (from Amazon) which have been good.

Neither do I, but I really like the Spigen protector in the car. Prevents glar and fingerprints and has a nice matte finish which goes well well with the retrofitted XC40 steering wheel buttons.

Same here. My phones are always naked as in no case and no protector. But the matte protector on the big in car screen makes it better to use and view in my opinion. On my other car I actually polished the shiny coating off the screen when I took it out to upgrade it to CarPlay.

1. Additional charging cables
As @lilstevie mentioned, in Australia we do not get the Type 2 to Type 2 cables. You will have to buy your own. I bought the 7m 22kW cable from Tesla (https://shop.tesla.com/en_au/product/mennekes-type-2-adapter---7_5m) which was slightly cheaper than the EVSE 7m 22kW cable: Type 2 to Type 2 EV Charging Cable | 7 Metre | 22kW - EVSE Australia. I know the car can only support 11kW AC charging but it is good for future use in case you get a car with an onboard 22kW AC charger.

7. Screen protector for centre console
I have the Spigen screen protector. It does work quite well and stops some smudges on the screen (maybe my fingers are extra greasy to leave smudges on any surface known to humankind).

One thing I would recommend is to cover the centre console. The shiny plastic scratches easily and also, in my case, shines quite a bit of light into my eyes when the sun is at the right angle. Since I wrapped it with a clear matte PPF I have not had any issues with the sunlight blinding me.

I like those buttons, are they a straight swap?

How's this PPF going still? My detailer refused to do it, they said that as the area by the buttons etc is a constant touchpoint, they have had too many complaints (various makes) of it lifting and peeling and generally looking untidy after a while. They said a vinyl would be a better call (but they don't do that).

Yeah my PPF place didn't do it either. I did it myself. It is working absolutely fine. No peeling or coming off from any place. I do have to say that a vinyl would be easier to put on because the PPF is too thick to put on the areas that curve a but like around the volume knob. So it took me about 3 attemps to get it right.
