Costco Auto Program is offering exclusive savings for Costco members on hybrid and electric vehicles from Volvo, Chevrolet, Cadillac, and Polestar. This is the first time Costco has arranged for member-only incentives on vehicles from all four brands simultaneously. Customers can take advantage of special offers on eligible models from each brand, including a $2,000 member-only incentive on the Polestar 2. Costco recognizes that vehicles are an important extension of personal style and is excited to help members find the hybrid or electric vehicle that best fits their lifestyle.

Fine print makes it sound like you can combine it with other programs too don't require a code like the $7,500/$10,000 clean air initiative.

" (4) place order between May 1, 2024 and May 31, 2024 of an eligible Polestar 2 model to receive a $2,000 Costco member-only incentive. The incentive will be applied at time of purchase or lease and is combined with other eligible Polestar incentives for which the Costco member qualifies... Only one (1) promotion code allowed per vehicle. Limit two (2) promotion codes per membership. Incentive is subject to change due to vehicle inventory availability. "

Maybe I’m insane. But that’s ends up being an excellent lease price. My wife and I were considering just sticking with 1 car when we swap my flex lease P2 in for the P4 in the fall.

However, say if I were to get a really aggressive deal for a second P2, would a two Polestar garage be crazy?

I wouldn't recommend the Costco Auto program..I was looking at an Acura Integra.I went down to the approved dealer. Tbey are supposed to show you the Costco price. The dealer had the prices in a notebook he wouldn't let me see. He went in a back office for 15 minutes. When he came back he had a sheet of numbers written on it. He still tried to do a "market adjustment." I called Acura to report the dealer. The Acura agent said the 2024 Integra was not on the list of cars approved for the auto program. I assime because it was too new. I live in San Diego. which is a pretfy big city. They only had one Acura dealer in the whole city participating in the program. The next closest dealer was 100 miles away.

I have a suspicion that Polestar's preference would be to sell you a car. And if it means granting you the benefit of the doubt over a membership at Costco - why would they care? oth. If you click the "Register for Costco Deal" at the Polestar site - it seems to indicate that you need to register at Costo first.

And here is what the form looks like "The member who is present at the dealership must match..":

I suspect that this like any other conditional discount.
Military discount requires that you are or have been in the Military
First responder discount requires that you are a first responder
Recent college grad...
Loyalty...
Conquest...

Programs like this are designed for a limited group or they would just discount the car by $X

I'm not in marketing but probably they are trying to reach customers that their other advertising does not? Probably working as they are sold out of some common configurations. Very limited choices for AWD with the Plus package, Weavetech and 19" wheels are only available in Magnesium/Slate and Midnight/Slate.
No Jupiter at all and other colors require either leather and/or the 20" wheel upgrade

I'm in the process of doing this on the car in my signature.
My rep at the Detroit space asked if I was a Costco member before I even mentioned it.
I'm applying the Costco rebate to my down payment amount.
I also wanted a 3 year/12K lease.

I'll end up with $388 per month including taxes. Wisconsin puts taxes on leases into the monthly payment.
Due at signing: First months payment, First month's Taxes, Dealer Fees, Taxes on rebates, Registration, $1K down, etc.
Total due at signing will be roughly $2,340.42

See below. Due at signing will be $2K less. I also have a plate to transfer from my current EV, so registration will be less.

Total purchase price $42,550.00
Down payment -$3,000.00 (Will actually be $1K)
Acquisition Fee $995.00
Adjusted Capitalized Cost $40,545.00

Due at signing:
First Monthly Payment $388.17 (This Includes Taxes)
Registration Fee $424.50 (This should go down by $175)
CVR fee $24.00
Title with lien $16.00
Doc fee $260.00
Transfer fee $155.00 (Anybody know what this fee is?)
Tax On Fees $22.75
Down payment $3,000.00 (Costco Rebate will be applied to this)
Tax on Rebate, Trade-in and Down Payment $150.00
Deposit -$100.00
Due At Signing $4,340.42 (Total will be $2K Less)

As I stated in another post, I will be getting into a new Polestar 2 DM (Magnesium, Pilot, Plus, leather) early June.
$64,150 pre-discounts.
Placed $100 down payment.
Will be replacing my 2021 Snow/Barley Launch Edition.
This lease will be $505/month, 12K miles, 27 mos
Also took advantage of Costco discount.

Will be saving $205/month for same build and shorter lease, by 12 mos.
$1500 DAS
:D

Are you asking about negotiating your current lease contract? If so, that's not usually possible.
If you're close to the end of your lease (6 months or so) then you can talk to a Polestar space about a "pull ahead".
It's possible to have a certain number of payments waved if you get into another lease.
